Re: My spoiled rotten, first world problem

  • That would drive me nuts. We are hormonal enough in this process without getting deprived of our food cravings-- especially after being told "okay" so that our hopes have been raised.

    Bad DH! Bad bad!

Must be rough when you're only job in this endeavour is to have sex. No injections, no remembering to chart, no holding in your pee for 4 hours with a tired, 40 year old bladder. I don't think an enchilada was too much to ask for.

  • Seriously, why are we the ones that have to do all the hard stuff? I had a come to Jesus meeting with my husband about his vitamins. I was having to refill his pill holder because he can't refill it himself and won't take the vitamins if they aren't there. Oh Hell no!!!! All he has to do is take vitamins and goes on about life like nothing happened. I'm either getting shots in my stomach, dildo cams every couple of days or sticking pills up my vag that cause me to have a clear period. He can take refill and take his own vitamins without me telling him.

If I wanted enchiladas ..... And I woke up with no enchiladas I'd be irritated too. You are totally justified!
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I'm jealous if two things in your post.
    1. Your husband cooked dinner.

    2. You got to take a nap.

    Oh so jealous

  • I'm with @hooligans4 on this one. My husband knows how to do 1 thing and that is grill. So he might "surprise" me with cooking dinner ( grilled chicken for example) but don't expect any sides with that dish. LOL

  • lol - I was worried because I had to travel for work last weekend and expected to come home and find DH and DD starved to death because they ran out of pop tarts.

I do the cooking in our home. (that way, I always get what I want to have!)

  • I'd be annoyed.  If he'd told me he was making spaghetti instead of enchiladas (didn't have the ingredients or whatever) that would be one thing.  But if I'd gone to bed expecting enchiladas, I'd feel deceived!

@JimBobCooter, is this thread like a straw poll that you're going to share with your husband?

  • Yeah I don't do so well with food disappointment either. When I get something in my head I gotta have it. But! Big points for making dinner, it's been awhile since dh did that!

  • LOL, oh good god no, I"m not showing him this.   Never the two worlds shall meet!!  DH does most of the cooking in our house so I'm very lucky and very grateful.  But good lord, man.  Start getting this right now, before I'm  KTFU and incapable of controlling my emotions when you screw up my cravings.

I will have enchiladas today if it kills me.
Just wondering.  Because honestly, I wouldn't be above bringing it up--"Really, Mr. Davie? Well, 84% of random ladies on the Internet say you're wrong!"

I hope you get your enchiladas, too.
