STMs: Acupuncture or acupressure?

Any of you do labor-inducing acupuncture or acupressure massage before your due date? Did it work?

I've read mixed reviews about the effectiveness online and would love to hear if any of you had experience with this. Thanks!

I tried it last time (acupressure) pretty regularly. It didn't work. I still went to 41 w 4 d and had to be induced. But, it can't hurt.

I love acupuncture. I went regularly before getting pregnant this time. I plan to start induction sessions around 36-37 weeks to try to avoid a medical induction at 37 weeks.

I did several induction acupuncture sessions last time at 38+ weeks with no luck. My kids only come when they decide! GL to you - I hear great success stories from it.

Like any other labor inducing strategy it only works if your body is ready. That is what the acupuncturist told me last time when I went when I was overdue with my son. It can't hurt but don't go in thinking it is a sure thing. It did not work for me but I would def try it again if I am overdue. If nothing else I found it very relaxing.
