Does anyone make their own? Where did you get your grains? I might try this, and was looking at kefirlady.com

They are very good MK , specially for kids. I grow up drinking a lot of the drink. They are very easy to take are , and you just need afew grain. They multiply very fast. I was looking for them for a long time but I didn't what's their name on English. I'm planing to get them on amazon i guess is the only place.

Kefirlady.com sells milk grains, water grains, and kombucha. I might try her. Some of the stuff on Amazon seems to be the dry stuff, so you would have to "wake it up" or something. The Kefirlady has a big FAQ section, and she says you can refrigerate or freeze them, but there's going to be a recovery period.

Um, no. I buy mine at Aldi for like $2.60 or something. I didn't even know about Kefir until I came on this board.
