    1. I played rugby for over 20 years, having first learned in Australia.

    2. I once tripped both Yoko Ono and a fully-gowned and hooded KKK member (not on the same day) as a child.

    3. I'm missing the tip of one finger on my right hand.

Yes, I've eaten bananas.  I once had a student (I was a TA in grad school) who really hadn't, though.

@PrivateOne, I agree--I don't think you like fishing (funny if you're really some sort of angling champion!)

@URMySunshine77, I too am dubious about the Antartica thing.  If we're right, you meet a lot of celebrities!

  • Oh my goodness! I'm so tired I can't focus on guessing everyone's lie! I will start by contributing mine:

    1) I am fluent in three languages

    2) I stabbed my own foot with a pitchfork

    3) I have never owned a vehicle with a trunk

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Know someone who used to work at the Academy so I have an Emmy. DH was paired with Tiger in his late teens and beat him first round but was lost the following day by him
  • I did indeed play rugby for over 20 years. And I learned in Australia when I was twelve, while visiting my relatives there. I have since played for Hartford, CT and Portland, ME as well as a traveling, invite-only club that tours the country and Canada and is made up of international players from Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Argentina, Australia, the USA, and more. Some of my teammates were also on their countries' national teams.

But I am not missing the tip of my finger. Almost, though-- I got it stuck in milking machine when I a kid and working on a dairy farm. The farmer managed to turn the machine off before my finger got sucked in.

  • LOL Because she broke up the Beatles!

Seriously, I was like 7 or 8 and until my brother turned me on to the Beatles, I only listened to classical music. So when he told me that she broke up the Beatles, I was PISSED! She lived around the corner from my great aunt and she was walking down the street with a John Lennon look-alike (he was already dead by then) and I stuck out my foot and tripped her.

    My dad made me apologize.

He did NOT make me apologize when I tripped the KKK member.
@danieleandwayne: I was actually going to ask you if you tripped her because she broke up the Beatles. I didn't think that it would be the case!

  • So much fun to read. I'm too lazy to think up my own. Just wanted to say hi. :)
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!
  • @thirtyninetoforty Nope! I was in second grade and my older brother and I were in my grandparent's backyard playing farmer with their compost pile. My brother jabbed the pitchfork into the ground so it would stand up on its own. "Wow! That was so neat! Let me try!"  Whomp!!! Right into my foot. I hobbled back to the house with my mary jane shoes and kneehighs turning red screaming my head off. Got a tetanus shot that day to top it off. Not included in my list, but also true, my brother almost accidentally cut my finger off with loping sheers when I was thirteen. Apparently, he and I should have never included garden tools in our activities (he still feels bad for that one).
