Vent- the mail is my enemy

Erg, the barrage of newborn mail has started to arrive.  Shutterfly just offered me a number of free newborn announcements.  I hate this.

((hugs))  it sucks.  I just got my one year old photo album ad from shutterfly...it's like it never ends.  Most of them don't bother me anymore but other days I lose it.

I just got my first subscription to Parents magazine today plus some other catalog for baby furniture- sucks, I hate it.

Along with all the emails and mail, people from the Cord Blood Registry KEEP calling me! I regret ever signing up for more info from them. I have told them numerous times to stop calling. On the bright side, Shutterfly had sent me a $20 gift card for birth announcements, so I used it to make some photo gifts instead with Brayden's pictures.

CBR also was harassing me I finally emailed the woman back and told her I lost the baby so don't contact me anymore- she replied that she felt awful and then went on with some other nonsense about getting in touch in the future ...

I'm so sorry.  When we were in the hospital, our "bereaved parents" pack of information included a card that we could send our address and unsubscribe from these things, but we still got formula samples, cord registry, etc.

((hugs)).  I'm so sorry.  I get them too - and I unsubscribe to the emails and still get them.  I have no idea how.  And yesterday we got a shipment of free formula to the house.  CBR has also contacted me (more like stalked me) and I sent them an email telling them to knock it off because my babies died.  No one has said a word since.  It is so hard to try to heal when companies are shoving baby stuff in our faces.

@dsere87 Thank you for the link.  I think I have done all those things.  But it sounds like some things get through no matter what.

Ugh.  Been there.  My DH got the mail after Ava passed away and he would throw away that stuff before I saw it.  It really helped.  I'm sorry you're struggling.  Hang in there, hun.

((hugs))) we get it hun. I'm a year out and it has finally slowed down. If you had a registry (we had one at toys r us) you will get crap for "First Christmas!" and baby's 1st birthday. Even my parents got stuff for Grandbaby. We've called a few times and its seemed to have stopped.

I know it sucks.  The mail kept coming almost everyday with baby things in it, it would make me so angry.  After a while I started contacting every company personally to unsubscribe, but it didn't always work.  And then comes all the 1st birthday crap, such a slap in the face.

It is definitely one of the more shocking reminders.  I left a can of Similac in the mailbox for over a week because I just.couldn't.deal.with.it.

I've been able to toss the cord banking, daycare ads and other junk mail quite easily. The Parents magazines I just keep in the plastic and put in the nursery with our other stuff, but yesterday I came home to 2 cans of Enfamil formula and that made me sad.

Yeah, the cans of formula were the worst.  I hate to throw them away because I know how expensive formula is and that I could give them away, but that would involve keeping them and seeing them until I could give them away.  Ugh.  After the first box of samples sat around, MH just started throwing them away as soon as they arrived.
