Sunblock vs Sunscreen ?

A while back there was a post about sunblock vs sunscreen and one of our bumpies replied with some really good info, I think she was a dermatologist. I think it might have been when they were still newborns and not sure if that bumpie still posts. However now that it is finally getting nicer out I know we are going to have to apply some type protection from the sun.

Does anyone remember which one is better for babies? Also if you are already using a sunscreen or sunblock , which brand do you like best and what spf are going for?

I asked my doctor at our 9 month appt and he said at this age that of was ok to use either one now but to make for it had zinc in it.

We have the Aveeno baby sunblock. Mainly because our pedi recommends the brand and R used the baby wash and lotion and hasn't had any issues. I heard great things about the Honest Company's one too. I use their bug spray and love that.

Thanks ladies for all your feed back. I hear so many different things and there are so many different options I wasn't sure which to choose. I'll check out the ones you mentioned! Thank you!

Drhibbard posted the link I was thinking about. We use babyganics or california baby over here. And I always check all lotions/soaps/etc that we use on them here https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
