Hi ladies. I thought I would start a GTKU post since it would be great to get this board up and moving. I know the pregnant after 35 has been moving a little bit hopefully the mommas will move over here soon.

1. How old are you? 36

2. How many kids/ages do you have? Fur babies? 2 DSs one is 5yo and my youngest will be 3 weeks on Saturday.

3. Are you at SAHM or a WM? If you are a WM what do you do for a living?
I'm a WM. I'm a mental health therapist.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? I love to have DS help in the kitchen. DS1 loves to cook and bake.

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? I take a yoga class that is just my time for myself which is so nice.

(But I Wish to God I could be a SAHM)

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? I LOVE reading and playing with my daughter

5.What is something you love to do without your kids?  I like to go out dancing and nice dinners with the hub

    Fur babies? Nope.  We have turtles.  DH won't even consider a dog until DD2 is older.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? I love cuddling with DD2 while reading to her.  Also, now she's learning songs and we both love singing together. With DD1 I don't get much time with her since she's off at college, but I took her to Disney World for an internship in January and having that time just the two of us was super special.

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? Anything with DH.  We get so little time just the two of us anymore that it's always great when we finally decide to get a babysitter, even if it's just for dinner or a movie.

1. How old are you? I am going to be turning the big 4-0 on Tuesday and not looking forward to it.

2. How many kids/ages do you have? Fur babies? 2 kids/ a 2 year old daughter and a 4 month old son.  We have my husbands 2 cats and this summer we are looking to get a dog.  I can't wait.  I miss having a dog around the house. 

3. Are you at SAHM or a WM? If you are a WM what do you do for a living? WM who wishes she was a SAHM.  I am a LDTC (Learning Disability Teacher consultant) basically I am a member of the child study team and I test children for learning disabilities.  Before that I was a teacher. 

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? playing, reading stories and snuggling

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? go out to dinner with the hubs.

I just turned 41 in February.

I have one girl, 4 months old. It took a long time and several losses to get her. This will probably be it for us.

We have one dog, a vizsla who thinks she's a human. She's been great with the baby but she doesn't like being left alone and she will purposely destroy things if she's displeased.

I was a nanny for over 20 years but now I am a SAHM and could not be more grateful.

We love music in this house. I love putting on music and dancing with her. Feeling her little arms hold onto me and seeing the way she looks at me is the best feeling in the world.

I used to enjoy getting together with girlfriends for coffee or wine and appetizers but it's been so long since I was able to do that since I moved to FL when DH and I got married almost 3 yrs ago and I didn't know anyone there. We suffered our first loss right from the get go and I was thrown into the hell of TTC so I never did establish a support system there. Hopefully that will change now, I'm already forming a friendship with a new neighbor who is about the same age with a 1 yr old girl. She's also suffered losses so we have a lot in common. I'm looking forward to some girl time. Yay.

2. How many kids/ages do you have? Fur babies? One DD, 4 1/2 months old. Two furbabies, both mutts adopted from a local humane society that are having a hard time coping with not being the center of attention anymore

3. Are you at SAHM or a WM? If you are a WM what do you do for a living? WM, purchasing manager, I love my job.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids?  DD is so little, but I love anything that makes her giggle, it's the cutest sound in the world.  That and her bath time, she loves splashing in the tub.

5.What is something you love to do without your kids?  I don't really do much without her at this point, but probably anything to pamper myself.  Getting my hair cut/colored, a pedicure will be in the near future!

3. Are you at SAHM or a WM? If you are a WM what do you do for a living? Technically WM, but I'm on maternity leave, so I've only known being home. 

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? She's awfully little, so nursing is about all we do together!

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? Get a nap in, LOL!

2. Kids? A 20 month old and one expected in about 6 weeks. No pets.
3. SAHM or WM? WM. I'm an attorney for a large corporation. Most days I love it. Some days I want to pull my hair out!
4. What do you like to do w your kids? We dance a lot. Also, it's fun to take her to the park. I love seeing that she's starting to play with other kids, instead of just parallel play.
5. What do you like to do without your kids? Honestly, I don't remember. If I'm not at work, I'm hanging with my hubs and daughter.

2. How many kids/ages do you have? 2 girls ages 2yr 9 months and 3 months. We also have a 10 year old dog. We call her the geriatric puppy because she still acts like a baby. We have a 14 year of cat who keeps all of us in line.

3. Are you at SAHM or a WM? If you are a WM what do you do for a living? I'm a teacher (currently fourth grade).
I usually love my work :-)
4. What is something you love to do with your kids? Anything outside- we especially love hiking.

5.What is something you love to do without your kids?

Road trips!! However DH and I have only done one sans kids since we became parents.

2-Daughter soon to be 6, Daughter soon to be 3, Daughter soon to be 1 and PG with our 4th and last!

3-I am a WM.  I am a designer for a new home builder.  I love it!

4-I love to snuggle in my bed with them.  I keep teasing my DH that we are going to need a basketball players bed if we keep having kids!  We snuggle, nap, read and watch cartoons on our bed and I love it!

5-I love to run, read and pamper myself with pedicures and facials!

SAHM, I left a career in marketing 2 years ago this month so stay home.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? 
I'm trying to get back to my outdoorsy ways so I love taking the boys out to play, in the jog stroller (MUST get back in some kind of shape!) and just to run in the back yard. 

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? Go to concerts, dates or go shopping.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids?  Love reading to them, coloring, puzzles.  Now that my son is older, love taking him to the movies.  And of course, I love snuggle time!!

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? Date nights with the hubby, the infrequent nights out with friends, anything that I get to be alone (mani/pedis, shopping, etc.)

2. How many kids/ages do you have? Fur babies? 16yo DS (17 in 12 days, so no one believes I'm 32), 9yo DD (10 next month), and 2w3d DD. My older kids each have toy fox terriers.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? We're super focused on LO right now so we mostly just look at and take care of her, but DS is a big fan of movies and nice dinners, & DD and I like to shop and get our nails done.

5.What is something you love to do without your kids? I like to go out with my girl friends and have date nights with the hubs. And drinks...

**I have 1 year may leave, so SAHM for the next 10 months, then return to work as a project manager

**I'm supposed to doooooooo stuff with them?!?!
Okay, I like to go to parks, pools, snuggle

**without them? Sleep. -_-
Okay, and sometimes just go out with DH or my sister.

4. What is something you love to do with your kids? Since I am working mom I just love doing anything with him, but spending time outside is a favorite and he likes to help me cook

I know this is old but it's nice to "meet" everyone so ...

1. 39

2. 1 DD who is 3 weeks and 2 days old. 2 cats - one is at least 13; the other is 5. And MIL (from India) is staying with us until Sept. and while she is super nice and not MILish and helps with some things she also needs help with a lot of things. ...a lot. And can't drive and we live in a rural area. So ... yeah. Goes in the kids & pets category. DH sometimes should too of course!

3. WM though not really until August. Except for some BS for our busy-work-intensive new teacher evaluation system that I need to finish by ... um. ..yesterday. and some other annoying paperwork stuff. I teach 1st grade and love the teaching but am not at all sure how I'll balance it with being a mom . It's a way more than 40 hours a week job for me. We'll see how it goes this year.

4. She's so new that doing everything with her is pretty cool still. Except diaper changes since she screams bloody murder every time and has since day 1 in the hospital. Why?? And she does not seem to mind dirty diapers at all.


5. Someone else already said this but - Getting to take a shower is pretty exciting. For now that's enough without DD since naps can be with her. Soon I'm sure I'll be looking forward to more.
