Hey there! Regarding the 2 vessel cord, my OB was always :not concerned" about it but had me in for non-stress tests/scans weekly after 32w. She never stopped growing. I should also say that her cord was attached at the "far end" of the placenta (I know there is a name for this) so between the two "issues" she felt at full term (40w) my baby would get more nutrition out of my body than in. I thought that made sense, so I allowed her to induce me on her due date. Everything was fine.

It's worth mentioning I met a girl (coincidence) that had a 2v cord with her son (she delivered two days after me) at 36w b/c her son stopped growing. He weighed 3lbs 4oz. Such a lil' guy. But he was strong and she told me they looked at his heart after he was born due to the 2v cord. 

I didn't have that done, but I had a fetal echo at 22w b/c of the 2v cord. Everything was a-ok!

Thank you for this! They had me come in at 32 weeks for a growth scan and since he was measuring okay- they aren't doing any more growth scans or NST unless I start measuring off. Yesterday, he measured one week under but they said that was fine. It has me nervous though- how do they know! I also have GD (diet controlled so no NST or scans either unless I go on meds) so maybe that will balance out his growth!
The MFM that did my growth scan had a 2v cord oddily enough and she told me she was still nervous even though she knew most likely, it would be okay!
At my appt yesterday, they said they wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks. If everything remains the same, they won't induce me on my due date but probably sometime that week.

No problem! I'm happy to share my experience with you. I'm glad everything looked ok at 32w, I wouldn't worry too much about measuring a week behind. Sometimes these scans are more scary than reassuring. We had one growth scan that showed her head off the charts, her legs long and her stomach SUPER small. I was worried for weeks in between scans (the stomach measurement put her overall less than 10%th percentile) I was so worried. Next scan showed she was FINE. So take it all with a grain of salt, Ive found if your OB/MFM doesn't worry too much it'll be ok (they see it all!)
I think all MFMs worry when I 2v cord is diagnosed. There can be serious complications but from the research I did, it seemed more often than not ladies went on to have happy. healthy babies. HTH!

It does help- thanks! They do scare the crap out of you when diagnosed then all of a sudden, you are a regular pregnant person again! I think since there was nothing else abnormal on the scan, they worry less as each test came back clear!
