Success after IF

When to schedule consult for FET?

Hi Ladies,

I was active 3T, IF and PAIF boards in the past.  I recognize some of you.  You can see most of my story in my siggy.  I had my twins at 32 weeks and lost my son due to a very rare set of birth defects.  It's been almost 10 months (wow!).  I have been getting antsy to try for another baby.  DH didn't want to discuss it until my cycle came back and we were also instructed not to get pg for at least 9 months.  Well, my cycle came back last month!  We have talked about doing a FET (we were extremely lucky and had 10 embryos left over).  We think it's a good idea to get past Berkeley's birthday and the anniversary of Bennett's death.  I also felt like I missed the summer last year because of our long NICU stay and then Berkeley had another surgery once home.  We were thinking to enjoy the summer and then do the FET in August.  What's the best timing to go for a consult with the RE to discuss the whole process.  I was wanting to go in May, just so we can have plenty of time to prepare and know what to expect.  Is that too early?  June will be busy with birthdays and weddings.  July we are going on vacation.

  • WOOPS!!!  So sorry ladies.  I scanned the first few pages so I wasn't posting something that had been answered recently.  I CLEARLY did a poor job scanning.  Especially since the timing is the same.  Ha!  Thanks for being kind without snark :-)  I may be posting more often on here with you ladies
