Merlins Magic Sleepsuit

For those that used a Merlins Magic Sleepsuit to help the transition to the crib, at what age did you stop using it?  How did you keep your baby from twisting side to side/ throwing their legs around in the air without it?  What did you do while you were still using it and the weather was warmer?  I'm worried my baby will be too hot in it now that it's spring and that it would be even worse in the summer, but when I tried to go without, she thrashed around and woke herself up immediately.  Thanks!

We started using it at about 3 months and stopped as soon as she could flip over with it on, probably about 6 months.  We did sleep training right at the same time we stopped using it and it only took a few nights for her to be ok without it.  As for the heat, it was not that hot during the three-ish months we used it, but even if it were hotter outside we have AC inside.  I would have probably just put a light onsie or just her diaper on underneath.
