I haven't done much of anything yet. I've washed a few clothes and gotten the cradle ready, but haven't put anything together yet. I'll probably start doing that in the next week or so. I'm scheduled for a c-section on April 28th.
We've put the crib and swing together, the pack n play is ready to go, and the dresser is unpacked though we still need to assemble it. That's it for now because we won't be getting the other things until the next shower in a couple of weeks. I'll probably hold off until then to do any laundry too, just so I can do it all together. I'm almost 32 weeks.
I guess I am a mix of all the above. Ha. crib and dressers are all set. Most of the clothes from big sister are washed and in drawer. rock n play put together. Swing still up in attic. Pack n play in play room folded up. I am 34 weeks today.
I'm 32w and we have the entire nursery set up and all the swing and things together. We mostly put those things together as we acquired them because of lack of space. This also led us to aim for getting the nursery done faster, we just needed the unbuilt crib out of our *kitchen* and in the room! LOL )
But it is such a satisfying feeling getting it all set up a little early than might be necessary. It also makes me feel like I have more time to nest and be nitpicky about little things and how I set them up. I am also a creative person and want extra time to create more handmade things for the nursery to hang from the walls and the like (for example, I made her mobile myself around week 22ish maybe?)
We put most of the stuff together when it arrived, unless we were still lacking the space to store it (nursery was incomplete for a while) or we knew it wouldn't be needed immediately and it stored more conveniently in the box. I think the only big thing we haven't unboxed yet is our pack and play- but it goes in our family room and we've picked a spot... But the spot still has a bunch of junk in it. No sense in unpacking it until we get the spot cleared.

Depends what you mean by goodies. We have the nursery all set up (crib, dresser, changing table), but I'm due on Friday and the swing and stroller are still in the box. Meh. Husband can figure things out after we come home with baby, no sense in cluttering up the place already.
We put the crib, dresser, changing table together when we got them in December. We installed the car seat just a couple of weeks ago (37 weeks). We put our stroller together months ago when we first got it. Most of the other stuff was already put together (bouncer). Not only did I want the nursery all ready, but we wanted to make sure the boxes weren't missing any pieces or had broken items. It's easier to return or exchange an item right away then to wait several months and possibly lose the receipt.

Mostly this (currently 27wks). The dresser is going to be the changing station so that's assembled and in place, the crib is assembled and in place but not with bedding on yet - it's currently housing the things I'm clearing out and the car seat. Once the clear-out stuff is gone(pre-baby shower), baby shower presents will go in there until I find a home for them, dresser is for clothing, changing stuff and bedding. Nearer the time, the bedding will go in the crib, bouncer/rocker will be put back in the crib with the car seat until baby arrives and the car seat base is going in my car about 4-6 weeks before the due date along with the birth bag so we're ready. The bedding comes in a basket and the basket is going to be re-used to hold toys and the stroller is assembled and standing neatly at the end of the crib.
We don't have a nursery until we move (after the baby) so we have to compromise being ready with the space we have available and the baby shower (at 33wks-ish) is going to be my cue to get completely ready as that's when the majority of the baby things will be appearing in our house. I can't really build anything until it all arrives!
If we had a nursery, I'd be following a similar timeline but with the option of leaving bigger stuff (car seat, bouncer) on the floor rather than in the crib.
I'm 33 weeks. The nursery is completely set up, I have some clothing/blankets washed and have started setting up things such as the bouncer, swing, and stroller. Next on my list is cleaning out the car and getting the car seat in as well as putting together my hospital bag (wet shopping today for the things I want to take). I know this is sooooo early but I can't control myself plus I am getting so uncomfortable I know I will not want to be doing this stuff in a few weeks.
I'm 32 weeks and we having nothing besides some clothing and diapers. We have our baby shower in a couple of weeks and we're hoping to get most of our goodies then.
However, we're also in the process of putting our house on the market and putting our new house under contract. Our new house won't be ready/finished being built til end of July so we're moving into an apartment in the next 3-4 weeks. So most of our goodies will be going into storage! We're only planning on having the rocker/bouncer thing, breast pump and other small accessories out.
I'm so bummed, but I'm excited to set them up in July when little guy is a couple months old!
We put things together as we got them - for the most part. Also DH is not very good at putting stuff together so I knew I would be doing most of the work and I'm so glad now that all that stuff is done! Getting the covers off to wash last week was such a huge chore, I'm glad I didnt still have things to put together!
Re: When?
