LO started cluster feeding (I.e. constant nursing) on her second night from 10pm-3am (5 hrs). Not fun. Following night at home was 8pm-5am (9 hrs). Tonight we are 7 hrs in and I thought it would be better because my milk has come in but it's all the same - eat on one side and either fall asleep then wake up 2 min later looking for more or just go straight to next side. Neither LO nor I are getting any sleep during these periods. Is anyone else going through this? Misery loves company...
Re: How long are your marathon nursing sessions?
Tonight she nursed 10-15 minutes on one side and passed out. Woke up at midnight so we nursed the other side for 30-40 minutes, had a diaper change for both of us, a meltdown for her and now she's having the other side.
It's our last night in the hospital. Husband literally woke up and said "what happened to our calm never crying baby?" #shitmyhusbandsays
I have major respect to the mamas who can nurse that long without a break!
