Is anyone else watching this? Whole season has been about Barney and Robin's wedding, only to have them divorce in three years. Ted meets the mom, they marry, she dies and he asks Robin out with his kids' permission?!

I cried like five times. I thought it was a good ending. It was fitting for the show.

I missed that part. I was prepping dinner for tomorrow. Maybe I'd have felt different if I had seen that part.

Yes. Loved that part.

Also cracking up that in the show directly following it, there was a woman pumping while talking to her friends within the first 5 minutes of the show.

I feel disappointed. I always wanted Ted and Robin together, but then I liked the Robin and Barney relationship. I thought they were good together. I wanted Ted to have the wedding of his dreams and live happily ever after with the mom.

I was sad the show was ending before I watched the finale, so after watching it I was even more upset. I need time to unwind from this and pick all the story lines apart. I'm sad it's over.

I liked how it ended. I hated that they killed the wife. But at the same time liked the Robin story. I had been pulling for her and Barney. I was really sad about their divorce.

The show was never about the mother. It was the story of Ted and Robin.

Uggg. Disliked the ending. I get the whole thing was about Ted and Robyn. But. I dunno, I don't have words other than "disappointing".

Go back and listen to what the kids said at the end. They gave you the creators view on the show.

They wrote this show with the end in mind. It was always the story of how Ted and Robin would end up together. 

I totally believe that.  Did anyone notice that the kids never aged after nine years?  That bothered me all night until I heard on a talk show this morning that they filmed some of the scenes years ago because they didn't want anyone to age.  That's a whole new level of respect in my book.

I didn't love the ending but I think I was just more upset that it was ending than disliking the actual episode

I just feel like the pacing was all off.  This whole season was off.  I would have been OK with having Ted end up with Robin, but having him meet the mother, having her die, and him ending up with Robin in one episode was too much.  There wasn't enough emotional payoff.  Also, they were trying to cover so much ground, I didn't think it was satisfying or funny enough.  I was disappointed.

I did not like it. I loved Robin & Barney. Now I won't be able to watch the last season (or the proposal episode) without thinking what a shame it is they didn't end up together! Boo.

I finally had a chance to watch it. I thought they did a great job. The pacing was a little crazy, but I thought that was because our tivo cut out TWICE while we were watching it. Aarghh! Anyway, I liked Boy Eventually Gets Girl.
