Hello! DH and I went on an anniversary trip last week so I took a little bump break. After no iui last month I knew we were probably out so I decided a total baby making break for our trip. Obviously I was still devastated when AF came but I took it a little better than most months.
We are going to do iui 2 this month and I had a question. I saw on another post to wait 36 hrs after the trigger to do the iui. Last time I waited about 12 and I thought later that probably wasn't best. I was going to try and do the shot in the morning one day and the iui late the next day. Is my obgyn wrong for doing them back to back?
Welcome back, girl. With IUI they would prefer to have the sperm waiting for the egg, so they tend to do them earlier than the standard 36hrs, which is more ideal for IVF egg retrieval. You can always ask to do IUI at 12hrs and 36hrs to up your chances. A lot of places do B2B IUIs.
Good luck with IUI #2.
P.S We sent you a special PM while you were on your break

Popping in to say that all 7 of my IUIs were 36hrs after trigger, and the two that ended with a bfp I definitely felt O pains a couple hours after the IUI. So I second Castillo on wanting the sperm to be waiting for the egg. 12 hours seems too early to me though.
