Last week, I had my first OB appt after being released from my RE from IVF #2.  It was our very first BFP, after over 2 years of trying.  I was very nervous to leave RE and move on to my OB.  I was very worried from the very beginning bc I felt that my HGC numbers were very low when we got the BFP.  

At my appt last Monday, I asked if I would be getting another u/s.  The nurse said it was not necessary as I had just had one 2 weeks prior.  However, I pressed for the u/s because I just felt like something was wrong.  I had lost all symptoms at that point, and needed some reassurance.  I ended up getting my u/s appt on Thursday, and my suspicions were validated.  My baby's heart had stopped.  I should have been 8w6d, but was measuring 7w5d.  

I went ahead and scheduled a D&C for later that afternoon because I just didn't want to wait for nature to take over.  D&C went well, and DH and I were home around 9 pm after a very emotional and exhausting day.  Physically I feel fine.  I am barely bleeding and had no cramping.  Does this start later??  

I am so sad and lost at this point.  I don't know why, but I ended up calling RE office next morning to see about when I can go back in for our FET.  I was advised I needed to wait one cycle and after my 2nd period starts, I can call RE to start the FET process.  

I am wondering if you all thought that I should wait longer than 2 cycles to start the process again. Also, I have heard that chances of getting pregnant are higher after a m/c.  Is there any truth to that??

3/28/2014 Miscarried.  DNC performed that day. 8w6d
6/20/2014 FET 2 frosties.  
6/30/2014 SO HAPPY...BFP #2
7/21/2014 First u/s.  Low heart rate. Scheduled 2nd u/s in 1 week. 6weeks
7/28/2014 U/S #2...no heartrate.  Scheduled DNC for 8/1/2014 7weeks
2/15/2015 IVF #3  E2 Protocol ER 12 eggs retrieved.  ICSI'd 9.  
2/20/2015 2 transferred. None to freeze.  
03/2/2015 Beta 4 - CP 
4/2015 IVF #4 E2 Protocal
4/19/2015 ER 13R, 11M, 10F w/ICSI
4/24/2015 ET 2 blasts none to freeze

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I was due Oct 29 (so pretty close to you) and discovered no heartbeat Friday morning. D&C was Friday afternoon. Bleeding has been pretty light this weekend and there's not any today. Not sure if there is any truth to the rumor that chances are higher to get pregnant after a miscarriage but I was able to conceive three months ttc after my first loss. Either way, I have yet to have a successful pregnancy so I wouldn't rush into anything until you are emotionally ready. Best of luck to you and please take care of yourself. ((Hugs))

    I am so sorry for your loss.

    I had very little bleeding after my d&c but maybe 48 hours later I started with bleeding and cramping. Nothing any worse than a bad period and iburpofen was all I needed for discomfort.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. After one of my D&Cs I had very little spotting about 3 days after and that was it. Sometimes you just get lucky.

    As for the theory of increased fertility after a loss, it's bullshit. Sorry.
    Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
