Success after IF

For those that/did workout and BF.....

did you notice a supply dip once you started working out again? I used to work out, stopped a year or so before I had LO but want to get back into it again. Thankfully BF'ing suited me, I am around 10lbs lighter than I was before I got PG but I also had intestinal surgery days after LO arrived and lost 22lbs in 10 days so I am not a usual case study.

I want to get fit again but concerned about my supply. I am on domperidone so maybe that will keep my supply up regardless but after months of fighting to keep my supply up, I don't want to risk losing it again.

TIA!

  • I didn't notice a dip, but I drink a ton of water and didn't have any supply issues. Just make sure you aren't dropping too many calories. I notice that is the biggest factor in my supply is actually not eating enough the day before (plus water intake).

  • I definitely had a huge dip but I always struggled to maintain my supply once going back to work. I really had to work hard to produce just enough. I never had an overabundance or stash. Good luck!

  • With DS I had low supply and noticed a dip if I cut too many carbs while working out.  This time my supply is ok, but I'm on a low dose of Dom to keep DD's tongue tie from affecting my supply (no pain or other issues so we chose not to revise because she was already 5 months when it was discovered) and as long as I stay hydrated it keeps my supply pretty steady.  I am about to start p90x3, but I will drop my gluten and sugar free diet because I think both would be too much.

What is a low dose dom? I am on 60mg a day and not sure it I need to increase. Only on for 10 days and noticed big increase today.
