Just going to be honest, I chose # 4. I have recently quit drinking, since I have to take metformin now, but I was a social occasional drinker anyways, a glass of wine or two here and there.

I quit smoking about a month ago. Just for personal reasons, felt it was best for me... It has been the hardest 4 months ever! I still want to light up every now and then, but I think its more of the habit than the actual cigarette, now the smell alone just repulses me.

I don't smoke, and I never have, but I still drink, but not very much. As a German, through and through, I have a great love of speciality beer, and there's a great speciality beer bar five minutes away from my house, so DW and I go there a couple of times a month. DW drinks slightly more than me, she'll have a jack&coke maybe once a week when she goes out with her friends, but she doesn't drink when she's actually pregnant.

I can't answer in the poll because I'm such a special snowflake. I quit smoking a long time ago, but I still drink. I have a glass of wine or beer a few nights a week.

I pretty much only cook with chicken, too.  I also have some recipes that call for ground beef, but I usually use ground turkey.  It's not because I'm a health freak or anything, I'm just not that creative and any recipes that have more than about 5 steps are too much work.

Have you tried Chantix? That is how I managed to finally quit for good. I was a heavy smoker for 15 years.

^^^ ditto. It's expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it but, that is how I quit too. The only side effect I had was really really really vivid dreams and I actually didn't mind them.

It's like magic. I've actually quit twice with it. The first time for several years. The second time I fell off the wagon when my dad died but eventually quit again with the help of chantix.

I always smoked Newport 100's too. I smoked like normal until around day 10 of Chantix ( I think they tell you to stop on day 7, but I wasn't ready) by day 10, I just decided I was done. You still get that antsy feeling when you are trying to quit, but the cravings are no where near as bad as say cold turkey, the gum, patches, or even the 'e-cigs. Your mind tells you you should smoke, but you're like "meh.. I don't really need it" 

Now I still deal with triggers, mostly when I'm out of the house, the car is a big trigger for me, so I have to carry cough drops or strong mints with me at all times. 

Good luck! If you are committed you will be successful, that's all there is to it!

P.S you don't have to hope for a prescription, if you know your insurance covers it, just go to your Dr and ask for a prescription.  My Dr is very old school and gave me a huge attitude when I told him I wanted a script, he flat out said "If you really wanted to quit you would have done it already" Shit, really? That's why I'm here, asshole! lol he reluctantly gave me the script and I showed his ass.  :ar!
