Glad to see some good news on this board! Thinking of those who need some encouragement.
We are moving along w/ my SIL who will be our GC. She had her personality test, medical exam, and trial transfer this past week. We met w/ a lawyer a couple weeks ago. Now we just have to do the psych evaluations. We're still looking at a late summer transfer.
I have an ER tomorrow, so I'm a bit nervous about that. We will obviously freeze all, so I'm hoping we have a good outcome!
Praying unceasingly for a miracle. ALL welcome!
@jalara48 - sorry your family was less than supportive for you. That's so disappointing. Wtf is their issue?
@mrs.mcirish - can't wait for your update today!!

My donor is already on lupron and just waiting to start stimms! Should be over the weekend I think. Her protocol is different than mine was so I have to keep asking the nurse about the timing but we are still tentatively planning the ER for around 4/16! In the meantime I am just trying to stay busy! I bought a pass at the gym down the street for 10 zumba classes this month. Still hoping to drop a few pounds! Now if only I could stay away from the chocolate!

GL Mrs. McIrish!
Not too much to update. We received our psych evaluation forms late last Tuesday and we had them filled out and emailed back by Friday morning. I am still waiting to hear back from the psychologist to schedule the actual evaluation, I left her a message this morning. Once our eval is completed, we have a few forms that need to be notarized and sent back and then I just need to have my prescriptions filled and we will be all set for our cycle.
I am finally seeing some signs of ovulation (my cycles have been a little longer than usual since we did IVF), so I should be starting meds for my cycle in about 2 weeks.
QOTW: I have a fraternal twin sister, but we look enough alike that people often confused us growing up.

PAIF UPDATE
AFM: I'm really boring which is a really good thing! I'm almost 22w (holy crap, I seriously can't believe it sometimes) and nothing major to report. We finished our nursery and I am just so excited about it. I walk in there from time to time and just tear up. I'm sappy and can't really grasp that a real live baby is going to live in there. Seems like someone else's room and someone else's baby. I'm so grateful.
QOTW: I can't think of anything interesting about me. I'm boring all around! Hmm..... in high school I dyed my hair purple and wore spiked dog collars. When I tell people I know in real life that about my high school days, they laugh because they can't believe how different I am now! Rebellious teenage years, I guess!

Hello! I'm JoAnn. My husband and I have been married almost 2 years and have been TTC since. Recently we found out he has zero sperm. We are seeing a RE and have discussed using donor embryos. When we found out there would be a long wait we decided to use donor sperm instead. I'm 34 so the clock is ticking to the 35 year mark. I just got the STD blood work results back they require you to do. I'm good there. I'm just waiting now for the clinic to call back with the next step. I'm not sure if doctor will want to do IUI or IVF. I have a little PCOS so I believe IVF would work better for me but I don't know. The RE I go to is a popular place and its like pulling teeth to get a call back. I guess its just a little lesson in the patience I will need for all of this. But my gyno recommended them. He said everyone he has sent there is pregnant. Can't ask for better than that I guess!

@jalara48 telling family and friends is supposed to be an amazing time, I'm sorry your parents were so so about it. We are all thrilled!
Update- my IF's lawyer is hesitant to release the contract for us to sign due to my insurance coverage. Right now I'm waiting for my states health connector (mass) to get back to me about enrolling in a plan because my job doesn't cover me. So I'm enrolled in a state plan now, which is govt funded, which I guess is a no no in surrogacy. We are getting too worried about it now because I'll be enrolled in something else by June but it's still scary to think my insurance might decline everything and prosecute me for fraud.
I'm going to speak with my doc today because it's a traditional surrogacy and we are using my egg I think they need to cover me no matter who the dad is and how I got pregnant. We will see what he says about it.
For now, we've decided to go ahead with our home insem soon! I got my period yesterday so we should be two weeks out! Yay
Fun fact about me: I grew up in the punk/hardcore/indie music scene and was def a groupie! My goal was to make out with the singer of every touring band I saw. It worked most of the time. Well, one band, the sunder was married and I wasn't messing with that so I went for the bass player. We made out once in 1996, saw each other again in 2000, and got married in 2004!! And the singer of that band is now my daughters godfather And expecting a child of his own!!

Hello I'm new here.
We are just starting our 5th round of IUI with donor sperm. We are using a new donor this month.
Just came back from my first monitoring this month, looks like I will ovulate as normal. Follie 1.35 limning .08 . I'm predicting IUI#5 will be Sunday. Go back for second round on Saturday.
Congrats to everyone with good news and exciting new frontiers! We have so many new pregnancies in the last couple of months and I think we're on the way for a whole bunch more.
***PAIF Update***
We're 10 weeks today. Last week we had our 9w ultrasound and saw both little Rockies move, which was awesome. They were both measuring within a day of each other and had strong heartbeats. We have our next ultrasound in a week and then the N/T scan the following week. We're still at the RE's office through the N/T scan, but since our midwife is a friend of ours, we've also starting those visits. We had our intake appointment 2.5 weeks ago and will have our first clinic appointment on Tuesday next week (I'm not sure what that appointment will entail). I'm still waiting for my referral to the breast feeding clinic so I can start working on inducing lactation.
I find it particularly fun that @jalara48 is exactly two weeks ahead of us. I feel like we get to get a snapshot of what we can hope for two weeks in advance for every step of this journey.
QOTW: I was an NCAA Div III national champion shot putter in college.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***

Check In: We've made tons of progress in the last week. Our application was approved by Cedar Park and we were introduced to the social worker. We're trying to schedule our visit, which will probably be in May. I've been plowing through the paperwork like crazy. Fingerprints go in the mail tomorrow!
QOTW: I'll tell you about my screen name The emphasis in on MRS, because I was Miss Miller before getting married. We coincidentally had the same last name and I had to do no name change paperwork. I was actually disappointed, as it's such a bland name, but he's a keeper.
