Has AF ever come for anyone during a cycle of monitoring? (Before/without ovulation)

I know I keep asking questions recently but just trying to figure out what's going on with me. I started having cramping yesterday which I thought indicated that my follies were finally growing but then later I noticed some other pms symptoms like the heavy/sore boobs, breaking out, etc which usually happen for me a few days to a week before AF. I don't want to waste $$ on a 3rd monitoring appt if it's possible that AF is coming but is it possible it's somehow related to a growth spurt of the follies?? LOL. It is sort of early too (today is cd16 of usually 30 day cycles).

I think this is what happend to @IntuitiveBlue‌ last cycle. Maybe she will chime in with her experience. I think it was from a drop in E2 levels. I would probably go to the monitoring appointment and see what the RE has to say. Good luck in whatever you decide to do! ((hugs))

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you won't have a period until after you ovulate. Then again I'm learning as I go along. I know when I'm doing the injections I have horrible cramping and my boobs get sore around ovulation. Maybe this is just your ovaries getting their but in gear (or the tortoise finally getting close to the finish line)
