I know this post is a bit late but we've been adjusting to our newly doubled family. Excuse the formatting, I'm mobile 
We went in for our scheduled c section on 3/21 at 37w. It seems as though timing was good as I had just started to have increasing blood pressures and earned myself a couple rounds of PIH lab work. I was extremely nervous about the spinal. I got prepped, my iv & interviews by my nurses, med student, resident & anestheology. After what felt like a lifetime, I was taken to the OR. Dh waited in the hall for them to do my spinal & Foley. Once we knew I was numb, everything got going & dh came in.
At that point, the 2 nicu teams came. This is standard for all c sections and thankfully being a nicu nurse in that hospital meant I got to pick who came. It was such a relief to know the people I trust most would care for my babies when I couldn't. I tried to pay attention to other things besides the procedure but failed miserably. Once they said they made the uterine cut, they had dh stand up to watch. I sobbed when I heard that the fluid was clear for both babies.
Our daughter Lucille grace (Lucy) was born at 9:53 am and our son William Jeremy (will) was born at 9:54. Both of them cried immediately and received apgars of 9,9. I'll never forget seeing dh cry as they were born. He was allowed over to their warmers until they were brought to me. I've never felt such love in my life.
Dh went with them to the nursery and we proceeded to finish. It turned out that my uterus didn't want to firm back up and I was bleeding a lot. I got a shot to try & help and ended up getting another before things started to turn around. I got scared when I asked what the med was for, thinking I was going to bleed out or lose my uterus but thankfully we avoided that. They finished & cleaned me up then iI got moved to recovery. Dh was waiting for me with photos, footprints & measurements. Lucy was 5lb8oz, 18.5 inches and Will is 5lbs4oz 19 inches.
We stayed until Tuesday, as I hadn't had adequate pain control. Since then we've been working on adjusting and nursing. They are beyond amazing and thinking back on our IF journey, I'd do it all over in a heartbeat for these two. I never knew I could love anyone so much.

Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

Huge congrats on your babies. They are absolutely precious. It made me cry to read about your DH crying. So sweet.
Me: 42. DH: 46.
1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.
2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.
3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.
4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.
5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.
Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN. After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.
August 16, 2013: BFP our first month of "not trying!" Still in shock. Beta #1 (14dpo): 183. Beta #2 (17dpo): 611. Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm!
Ultrasound 9/13/13: 8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
Baby is due 4/26/14

Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p, New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS 4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!
