I'm a tad bored tonight. My herd of animals are crowing me so I figured I'd see what kind of fur babies you all have. I have a big soft spot for animals with disabilities. I have a senior blind cat, a "teenager" cat who has glaucoma, my sons cat, and two sweet, clingy dogs. I also just "adopted" a neighborhood stray cat. He prefers staying outside, but he calls the doghouse in the backyard home now. DH was not too happy when I spent money & had him neutered. I wanna see some cute cuddly pets!!
We have Tiki (white & grey) and Daiquiri (calico), or "the twins". They are three year old sisters and are spoiled rotten! They hide whenever kids come to our house so I'm interested in how they will act when the baby comes.
We have two dogs, on the right looking annoyed is Sprocket (4 year old pit pointer) and on the left is Gadget (5 month old pointer St. Bernard). They are a couple of weirdos, but we love them to pieces
I have a six year old Abyssinian mix cat named Athena. I adopted her almost four years ago. She loves to be in charge and is such a cuddle bug. She can also be sneaky as proven by this morning when she sprinted out into the backyard!
We have two huskies, Grace (black&white 5yrs old) and Eddie (brown&white 4yrs old). Eddie is a giant doofus and Grace is a princess. They do that "cute" husky talking and I'm trying to break the habit because I will be mad if they wake the baby with it all the time. We also have a 6lb cat named Taters that is charge of the dogs. More dog than cat and she is so funny with her giant personality.
When we found our cat she was an all black 2yo snugglie munchkin in a shelter named Meehow. She didn't talk when we brought her home so we renamed her Eve. In less than a week, by meal time, we knew why she had been named Meehow...she's a talker! But Evie stuck. She is a character! Both DH and I want to adopt big dogs...like, German shepherd/husky sized would be the smallest we would go...but living in an apartment doesn't really allow for that to happen yet. Hopefully a house within the next year.
And we will always adopt from shelters. It doesn't matter so much if they are puppies or kittens or adults, but those animals need all the love they can get and we know we will be able to give them a good home.
I have a (somewhat large for a "mini") mini-dachshund. He's 4, unnecessarily protective, likes to sleep with the pack (aka me and DH) but we don't often allow that, and thinks he's a much bigger dog than he is. He can be super cuddly and sweet, but he tends to have a stubborn streak and he's got more attitude/expression in his face than I've seen in other dogs I've owned. He can jump high enough to get things off the counters, which is impressive for his tiny little legs. He has epilepsy and although he's on medication for it, I'm always worried he'll have a seizure when I'm not around and can't comfort him (he stays conscious and you can tell the seizures scare him).
This is my little fur baby Stella. She is a 6yo (extra) miniature schnauzer. She is only 11 lbs but she loves to be outside in the woods climbing trees and chasing wildlife. She always gets jealous when I hold babies around her, so it will be an adjustment for her.
We have 2 cats. Rocky( first pic) is 17 and spends most of his day relaxing in one of the 5 cat beds we have around the house. Sylvester (2nd pic) is 5 and I call him my little fur son. We rescued him as a stray when he was 6 months old. He has so much personality.

We have two Maine Coon Cats. Bing (Crosby) and Cornflake. They are huge (18lbs and 16lbs) and are hoping that once the baby comes I will stop dressing them, and focus on dressing the baby instead. The grey one loves his sweaters but the orange one, not so much. I am ashamed to say that I think the sweaters have more sweaters than I do, and almost as many neck ties as my DH. We live in New England so it is cold here most of the year! We just had a blizzard on Wednesday, and of course the boys had to wear their sweaters to stay warm.
Ahh I love this thread. I will brag on my fur babies all day long. We have two dogs (you may have already seen my FB announcement with them.) First one is Rylie, a long haired miniature dachshund who is almost 5. She is my baby. Second is Cedar, a 3 year old Boxer/lab mix who is the happiest dog I know.
Here's my crazy two. Sasha, an 11yr old lab mix and Miles a 4 yr old terrier/schnauzer/poodle mix. Sasha came to us through from a rescue that found her, sick, abused and wandering the streets. She was about 1 at the time we got her. Miles came from another rescue but he was born in the rescue so he had no issues. These two are my first children for sure, they even sleep in bed with us.

This is our Belle! She's a yellow lab, just over a year and full of energy an loves attention and swimming! We're training her for volunteer therapy work in nursing homes an schools. Love her!
We have one dog Calla, who is a Maltese/poodle mix and two cats, Ella and Peaches. Calla and Ella have been extra snugly since being pregnant. I think they are on to us.
Here are my pups--I'm the beagle's adopted mom (she is 9 and my husband's college dog). We adopted the Golden/Pyrenees as the prize of my aunt's litter 4 years ago.
We have a 8.5 yr old German Shepherd named Patrick. Sadly we're not sure if we'll be able to keep him once LO comes - he has a short but bad track record around small children, and we're pretty sure he was abused by kids at his previous home.
Have a Shiba Inu named Chub. He's such a huge sweetheart and just had his first birthday. I believe his pic is still in my sig, I'm on my phone and can't see it.
Gus is our 125# lab/German shorthair mix - he thinks he is a lap dog and a step stool, and has a snoring problem. Ripley is our mini schnauzer. - he has a typical schnauzer attitude, but also thinks he's a farm dog. He tries to herd the horses at my mil's. They are both fantastic with DD, and she adores them.

Maybe he will be different with your LO. My Molly isn't too keen on loud, fast-moving kids either but we think because she will be around our LO from the get-go that she may adjust better. I hope it works out for your family.
I love everyone's fur babies,so cute! Well we just have MoJo he is a 7yr old Yorkie he weighs 6lbs and is very, very spoiled. My Mammaw bought him for my papaw when he was first diagnosed with cancer and Moe was raised as a lap dog. When Moe was 2 my papaw passed away and he almost grieved himself to death. We took him because Mammaw said she was to busy for him and he had gotten pretty sick. Lots of love (and a hefty vet bill) later he is very healthy and ours forever.
The pup is Ziggy; he's a German Shepherd / Basset Hound mix so he loves to "talk" and has very, very short legs (pics can't quite capture his hilarious proportions). He's about 5 years old now; we got him from the SPCA and he was found as a stray, so we're not 100% sure of his age.
The kitty is Junebug; she's pretty big and sassy, I love her.
