  • I run sporadically since my kids were born. I ran a full marathon and several half marathons before they were born. I hear a lot of good things about the couch to 5K program (you can download an app). It's a walk/run program to get you ready.
    My weight loss has been so slow. I am 9lb below prepregnancy weight from #2 but still have 20lb left from #1. MFP helps me when I actally stay within my calories.

  • I'm trying to lose another 10 pounds. I've been running/walking 3 miles for the past year and doing some free weights. Also, doing spin every once in a while and love that class. I started with the couch to 5K after DS was born and after that I started running more and don't really like it while I'm doing it but always feel really good afterwards :)

    I hate working out while nursing! My boobs hurt and leak. I need to get more active though at least walking with the kids more or Pilates or something.

    ETA: sorry that was not the least bit motivating!

    I totally understand that. I was also worried about my supply tanking for the first 6 months.

  • I just joined a Moms on the run group here in our city. They meet once or twice a week depending on what you pay for. I'm doing once a week so I don't kill myself but sounds like a fun way to get exercise and meet other moms. Maybe you could check for that in your area?  I wish I could've done the baby boot camp like you're doing to do, the small town we lived in when DS was born didn't have anything!

  • DH & I are training for a half marathon at the beginning of May.  So far the most I've ran is 7 miles.  Starting to worry about those last 6!  It is so hard to find the time.  I think on the weekends I might have to pay someone to watch the kids so I can have time to get out and run.  We have the Bob double stroller, but my kids are both 30+ pounds, so there is no way I can push that and run! 

    Jenna - where did you find the moms on the run group.  Wonder if there is one near me.

  • The hardest part for me is finding time.  Right now I have to get my lazy butt up around 5:30.  I need motivation to get me up.  This morning I didn't set my alarm!

  • @Kelly1109‌ the website is momsontherun.com looks like they have a bunch of locations around us so hopefully you find one. The nice part is trainers help you with your goals too. Ps if I could do 7 miles I would be ecstatic :) hope you and family are doing well!

  • DH and I found an awesome website www.fitnessblender.com.  It's a husband and wife that run this site for free and there are over 300 workouts on there.  You can search by length, equipment, difficulty, etc.  The variety definitely help me beat the boredom of the same workouts!
