Am I worrying unneccessarily? Crawling...

I tried to attach a movie so that you could better see what I'm talking about, but I guess I'm not technological enough to figure it out ;-).

Emmett started crawling a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that when he crawls, his feet are both pointed in the same direction. His left foot points out and he uses it to propel himself. His right foot points inward, toward his other foot. He moves his leg well, but its almost like he is dragging that foot instead of pushing with it. The best visual I can think of is two capital Ls. like this  LL. He uses both feet equally well when he is standing and cruising along the furniture.

I'm worried about why that one foot points in like that. Am I being a way over-paranoid first time mom? Do you think this is just the way he learned to crawl?

My son crawls very strange. One leg in the normal position and the other looks like it wants to stand. And he pushes with that leg. That's just the way he learned to do it and that's probably true for your little guy too. Our pedi said she's seen a lot of unique crawls over the years.

I don't think it is a problem. I have seen babies learn to move in so many odd ways. My niece learned to scoot on her butt but only using one leg. The other one dragged along and it looked funny.

I would just watch and see what happens as he becomes more mobile. Everything will probably straighten out. If you notice one foot always seems to turn in or he favours one side I would mention it to a doctor.

Thanks ladies! I'm thinking that it's probably nothing since others of you have weird crawlers. I'll keep an eye on it though and *try* not to be too paranoid about it!
