I skipped a run this week with the excuse that I'm tapering down before my 5km race. Yeah, a 5km race doesn't need a taper.
I really enjoy a morning coffee early and alone. I will find every single reason (cough cough) to get my early morning coffee early and alone. I have gone to great lengths. Including tears and stomping my feet like my toddler. I may have also hid in the basement doing "laundry".
My baby has been asleep for 4 hours and I'm just awake bumpin' all over the place when I should be sleeping. I'm pretty sure I was just reading May 14 UO thread.. How did I get here? What's going on?
DH did a bunch of shopping art Target the other day and somehow wound up also bringing home someone else's bag. That bag contains a super cute bikini, and while he wanted to take it back, I'm planning on keeping it...
I love hosting big parties at my house. We offered to have one of MHs out of town HS friends over for dinner tonight. It quickly escalated into his whole wrestling team and families being invited. We are up to 29 people and growing. Of that number, 15 are little girls 10 and under.

I've been reading Game of Thrones and apparently it is getting into my subconscious. One night I was dreaming about being a knight and kept saying out loud to DH "get ready to bleed". Another DD was having a rough few nights and I dreamt I gave her a little "milk of the poppy" to help her sleep.
I am going over to my sisters house this afternoon to drink wine, eat cupcakes and chat with her while our babes play or nap or whatever. I guess my fffc is that I'm probably too excited to drink wine in the afternoon...
My neighbors woke DD again last night. I put the monitor in the hallway along our shared wall, so they could hear her cry in stereo. #idgaf #passiveaggressive
I used the wrong "your" in a post yesterday and now it's too late to fix. This counts as me redeeming myself. I know the difference - I swear! I know all the differences!
I'm letting my three year old watch fireman sam on my ipad, because it is the only way he will eat his breakfast. I am finishing my coffee and mustering up the will to tell him he is done.
@Kittymom6 - I love the passive aggressiveness. I would totally do the same a few more times, then if be knocking on their door if they didn't figure it out.
@breadandbutter07 - I'd love to say yes, but I think there are a few more of your kind. I think I waited 2 weeks post c-section.
DH and I have a close friend who is a single mom. She needs help watching her twin 7 year old girls two days a week. DH casually suggested I do it. I not so casually told her no way in hell. They (one of them has ADHD) are too hyper and fail to listen even when at the house for an hour with their mom. I told her I'd probably have to tie one to a chair. Can't commit to two days a week with hyper activity, a baby and getting supper ready in the afternoons. Sorry. Not sorry.
I used to think that I killed all bump threads. For a while, it seemed that every time I commented that was it. No one else answered and no one responded to my comment, so I used to think that I killed all the threads.
I'm also irrationally angry that is snowing and we have 3 fresh inches on the ground. Even though I live in NW Montana and this is totally normal...I'm drowning my sorrows in chocolate cake for breakfast.
I have $46 dollars in kindle credit from the lawsuit about amazon price fixing ebooks. I do not intend to tell my hubby and just buy a bunch of cheap trashy romance novels and read them when I poop.
#thegoodlife
@beernifer Trashy romance novels are my guilty pleasure. They are my Kardashians. Lol. I'd rather read a trashy book than watch trashy tv.
I just finished the "Songs of Submission" series by C.D. Reiss. It's 7 pretty short books. But pretty good (by trashy romance standards) if you need something.
Thank you Theo James for waking me out of my slumber
@bkeane619, I freaking love him! I totally had a book crush on Four while reading the series. And him cast in that roll brought it back ten-fold. Lol. I think it helps that the actor playing him is 28 so it doesn't feel as pervy having a crush on an 18yo. Lol

I don't know, I just noticed it gone too! How long has it been? I swear it was there this morning.....get me back into those tropical waters!!! (Btw, I'm nowhere near that tan IRL).
IL's haven't seen Emma since March 1st (when we drove to them) and I have the day off today and could take her to spend time with them but I refuse! If they want to see her they can come here. It's only a 2 hour drive but they haven't come to us since November.

Mine lived 2 miles away and came to see dd twice. Then FIL cried when we moved 2 hours away last month.
@breadandbutter07 You are not alone. We tried a couple of months PP but it just wasn't happening. Since then neither of us has had the energy while DS is sleeping.
@deedee1017 I have had the exact same thoughts regarding being the 'killer of threads'. Sometimes I think I fail at the internet.
DH and I have been debating back and forth all month about whether or not to list our house. We have a beautiful old craftsman that I love, near our friends with kids and lots of walkable parks but it's not in the best neighborhood. DH wants to sell and move into a better part of town with better schools and I know he really wants a big, fancy garage.
I manage most of our finances and he missed the last mortgage meeting to discuss options. I totally came up with a master refinance plan that allows us to pay off debt, save money and stay in our current (awesome) house. I told DH that our mortgage broker came up with the plan and approved it but truth is I have yet to actually talk to him about it - oops. DH agreed that it made the most sense and called our realtor to tell her we are not listing! Sorry, not sorry DH, I'm just not ready to move!

I feel ya, girl. It started snowing here on Monday morning, and hasn't stopped since. This is when I really miss the California sunshine.
DD1 really needed shoes and I didn't really see when we would have the chance to go and I've just been too overwhelmed with everything. I was talking about it with her in the car and said, "Do you want to get shoes with me or with grandma?" Obviously she said "I want Grandma to get me shoes!" I conveniently only shared that one line of the conversation. MIL was happy about it. MIL, DH, and DD1 went shoe shopping and MIL even "foot" the bill.
But, serves me right, I think they got a half size too small and she's going to be out of these shoes in a week.
My DH got stuck at work yesterday so I had to go pick up DS at the sitter's, which increased my drive from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. I was not happy, and I let him know this. So my DH comes home armed with fresh donuts from the bakery I love. I instantly forgave him.

I prefer it now and that scares me.
I'm secretly thrilled LO hates his crib.
This. DH said last night that LO spends more time in our bed than he does. I'm not sorry!
