*** Please note, I've changed some things up here. This check-in was a lot like this board's weekly check-in and most of us were having to answer the same questions in both places. So I thought it would be fun to have a few different options.******
This is a special weekly Thursday check-in for all of us who have crossed into our 40's. We all hang out on TTC after 35, but we all know that once you hit your fabulous 40's and are TTC it is just different.
There is a regular Weekly Check In on Wednesdays for all on this board, so feel free to post on both check-ins if you like. If you are completely new to the TTC after 35 board and haven't done a formal intro please do that before posting here!
1. Your Name and/or Screen Name (no full names) and the State you live in.
2. Where are you in your cycle and what kind of cycle is it (IVF, IUI, Natural... etc)?
3. What medications and/or supplements are part of your cycle that are helping you with TTC?
3. Who do you want to give a shout out to this week from our board (or even non-bumpie if applicable)? Just put their screen name and a little message.
5. Weekly Vent - Go ahead, vent on one thing that is really irking you this week, promise you will feel better after.
**Name That Action (NTA) ** Actaully this week it is name that inspiration....Do you have a favorite "life quote" you'd like to share for some positive affirmation for the group?

Re: Weekly Check-In For The **Over 40** Crowd
2. Prepping for IVF #2, on my last week of bcps and next week is my baseline appt.
3. Currently I was prescribed (and take) a big a** multi vitamin, 200 mg of CoQ10 daily, and bcps. When stims start I will be injecting microdose lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur. The IVF cocktail of champions
3. @BeckyP005 - it never ceases to amaze me how supportive and happy you are for everyone around you that is finding their success. We are both late in the game trying to get to LO #1 and your positivity and happiness for others who find success is very inspiring.
5. Weekly Vent - Not too much to vent about this week. Just getting anxious and nervous as I am just about to start another IVF protocol.
**Name That Action (NTA) **
I’m too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated.

1. Davie813, Chicago.
2. CD2, natural cycle. CD3 bloodwork tomorrow and OBGYN appt to discuss possible RE referral later this month.
3. They're obviously not helping with TTC per se, but I've been taking a prenatal, DHA, and folic acid supplement for ages. This month I think I'll start CoQ10 and evening primrose oil, and talk with the doctor about DHEA.
4. This is (I hope) the lamest answer you'll get to this, but I want to send a blanket thank-you to everyone who offered support when I was having a rough time earlier this week. Also, I appreciate the extra work @PrivateOne and @ksgsmu put in running these check-ins (and putting together our new sticky!)
5. I'm not too aggravated by this, actually, but some minor office politics going on right now. Blech.
Hmm. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"--(probably) Ian Maclaron? Or maybe “Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy" (Winston Churchill)

My Ovulation Chart
2. 2WW natural thus far
3. pre-natals, vitamin D (i'm slightly deficient) and DHA (all vegan versions)
3. Being a newbie here, I am grateful for everyone. You all made me feel welcome right away
5. My job is getting more and more stressful and it doesn't help that we are shorthanded and cannot take any vacation days for at least another month or so when we have enough coverage. The people that resigned left over a month ago and they have only just hired one replacement who isn't fully trained and it will be another couple of weeks before the next hire can start (fingerprinting, background checks, etc.) and someone else just quit.
Can't think of any quotes right now but a coworker just randomly loaned me Sark's book "Succulent Wild Women." I owned a copy of this about 15 years ago. I loaned it to someone and never got it back. Great stuff. I recommend it highly.
2. DE IVF #1
3. Prenatals from GNC which are nasty. Need to get the gummy ones from Target. Feel I need more vitamins just for my overall health.
4. @PrivateOne you are so sweet!! I feel bad that I can never give advice on treatments or charting etc.! I love each and every one of you.
The first person that came to mind is @JacqueSills. Unless I tell her she will never know lol. She is taking a break but she always responded with such heartwarming thoughtful responses and they weren't short sentences I'm talking paragraphs lol!! She made you feel special

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

2. I have no idea where we are in the cycle, we're just waiting for IVF
3. DW is on Provera, which is actually a menopausal drug, but it's supposed to make sure her cycle is regular, and appears to be working.
4. I agree completely with @PrivateOne about @Becky005.
5. Not really got much to vent about, again.
CD4, natural at this point
Not even taking vitamins at this point.
Really new, but I remember how positive and encouraging @Jacque Sills was also!
Work is ridiculous! I'm overloaded and haven't had a raise in 3 years! I know this is God's way of reminding me that I want/need to be self-employed!
That's it for me!
waiting for AF (CD 29)
Clomid (will do 100 mg this next cycle) Prenatal vit/minerals, CoQ10, B12, Folic Acid
I admire everyone on this board but I would like to shout a special mention to @PrivateOne, @BeckyP005, @JimBobCooter, @Davie813...you are all just so open and kind and I feel as tho I've known all of you for many years. I would also like to mention @Kai&Allie...how awesome there is a man on a TTC board and he just fits right in - I just love it!
My vent - I am not a mean person and I am respectful (I like to know when I go to sleep at night that I have treated people the way I want to be treated) but I work with middle-aged children. So greedy and cry over everything and truly just need slapped (I will do it!). I have never worked with such a group of people and wish they would grow up!
My favorite quote/saying (not sure which it is but it is very fitting for the people I work with)...Never argue with stupid as stupid will beat you with experience every time.

Here's one of the parts I really liked:
"The only thing you need to make a biological baby on your own is sperm and luck. Getting sperm does not mean that you are “deciding definitively” that you “will not get married and have a child.” Life is long, darling. Who knows what’s going to happen? You could meet your Big Love tomorrow. You could meet him in ten years. You could have a baby on your own now and another with him when you’re 42. You don’t know. The question about who you will love and when you will love him is out of your hands. It’s a mystery that you can’t solve."
Again, I don't presume to know what your hopes for the future are, but I just wanted to say (and this is probably good advice for all of us here) you just never know--stay positive!
