how to get a personal trainer?

any suggestions? i live in a big apt and have a gym here. i'd love to get someone to help me start a plan, meet once a month or something, etc. where do i begin? any idea how much something like that costs?

Re: how to get a personal trainer?

  • I got a trainer after M was born - but it was through my gym. The cost was $35 per hour session (the more sessions I purchased, the cheaper they were.)

  • ifyou frequent a local mommy board (or even just the local nest board), I would recommend asking there.  I have run across several people who ARE personal trainers on mine.  Not that I can afford one in my budget right now, but they might be more willing to work with your budget, too :)
  • You may be able to get the names of trainers from a local gym and see if they do any outside training. GL!
  • my dh got me a personal trainer (by request) for my bday last year.  i love going.  I work with mine through my gym, but i know lots of the trainers there do their own stuff on the side.
