@lv2011 Life's biggest joke. LOL. Yep, that's a pretty good description for it. My twitchy butthole agrees.

YES. I tried to find a gif or meme for this a while back but no luck. Either no one else thinks that line was funny or we both suck at the internet.

  • Pretty sure I snored today during my prenatal massage......and I was awake the whole time! Just total relaxation that I probably haven't had for the last 35 weeks.
  • Oh my goodness I love this thread... Add me to team swamp ass , BH, Charlie horses at night, numbness under my boobs, and bloody noses. Pregnancy is just beautiful... :-?

The nurse at my pregnancy class said that there is a new study proving women who have heart burn during pregnancy will deliver a child with hair on their head . Any second time moms agree? I had to side eye this but, My mom only had heart burn with my middle brother and he was born with hair and my other brother and I were bald and no heart burn for my mom.

I dunno about a study being done, pretty sure it's just an old wives tale. Dd1 was born with a full head of it, I only remember having heartburn once. DD2 is showing hair on every u/s, and the heartburn has been hellacious.

  • Pretty much everything previously mentioned! But the one no one has mentioned… PREGNANCY BRAIN!!! I feel like 90% of my brain has been removed and it just keeps getting worse. I have the same chores to do everyday but have to have a list on my phone to actually remember all of it :( I also cannot complete a sentence without about 50 um um ums it annoys the crap out of DH. I swear by the time this kid comes out I am going to be actually brain dead.
  • I have nothing else to add except that most of the above applies to me. Especially faucet face. I fell asleep on DH's pillow the other night and woke up before he came to bed. I'd left a sexy wet patch all over his pillow, so I just turned it over and scooted back over to my side. He never knew. B-)

Discharge! I'm going through at least 2 pantyliners a day. I can feel it leaking out.

Just 2? I don't know if it's just me but I'm changing at least 5-6 a day if not more. I hate feeling any bit of wet down there and since it's currently the Niagara Falls of discharge I feel like I'm constantly changing them!

Team bloody/stuffy nose, dry mouth, can't get up without help, night sweats, nausea and heart burn over here. I'll also add having some lower abdominal discomfort, and feeling like my son is trying to escape via intense cervix hits where I literally stop what I'm doing and pushing on my belly/ribs... I still love the little bugger though :) wouldn't trade it for the world

  • I want to add butthole nudges! This is a new one for me. I'm used to the cervical punchbag, but going for the pooper is a very strange sensation.

  • I've got the awful heartburn, leaky butt, return of the morning sickness, my mouth just feels gross most of the time, and I think I pulled a hip getting back into bed after a bathroom trip last night. Oh yeah, totally glowy pregnant lady here.

I had always thought this was an old wives tale, but in my What To Expect When You're Expecting book it says that new research has backed it up and it seems the hormones responsible for heartburn are the same ones that can produce hair. I have no idea what this "new research" is, but I had a decent amount of heartburn with DD and she had a good amount of hair when she was born.

This is the link to an article ran by NY Times about how researchers at John Hopkins did a study on the correlation on heart burn and baby having hair.

My baby will be bald just like DH and I both were when we were babies, apparently.

This has been the best thread, just fun to read.
Heck yes. And my belly is great food catcher. I've stopped trying to explain the stains on my shirt now.

  • I'm such a restless sleeper now! I flail around and moan all night long. Last night I apparently scratched dh in the face and head butt him HARD! I feel awful but I can't control it.

    Hmm. Interesting...but I wouldn't call a study of only 78 women conclusive.

  • Anyone else....?

...having man poops? It started with this pregnancy and it makes me very anxious when I flush. "omg, what if it doesn't go down?"

also put me down for discolored boobs, heart burn, indigestion, swollen ankles, and snoring. And waddling like a duck. And not that I leak pee all the time, but I have peed myself (just a little) as I scramble to the bathroom and try to get my pants down in time to sit.

Same. I think part of it goes back to my other point on this thread about full body sweats. My crotchal region is not exempt from this. I'm literally hot and sticky everywhere most of the time.

    Baby #2 due 4/26/16!

  • Walking around with their arm draped over the top of their belly in anticipation of one hard painful kick or movement to the organs or ribs?  Its like I'm constantly waiting for that scary clown to jump out from around the corner.  Why baby why must you keep me on orange alert?!

Anyone else? Heartburn. Waking up choking on stomach acid. Excessive sleeping. Congestion every single day. Nausea has returned, not everyday day. No interest in sex what so ever. What looks like a brown birth mark under my left boob. BH induced by walking.

I'm sure if I read all the pages these have all been mentioned

    It's a BOY

So much itching, especially my scalp. My hair is still falling out, but not as much as the previous trimesters. And no matter how much water I drink I'm still thirsty all the time.

  • The hip pain here too, some nights it's nothing and other nights I can't get rid of it. The heartburn I can manage with Tums and ice cream. Reflux seems to come and go in spurts. Tired, tired, tired.

LO must have listened to the safety brief because she has definitely located the exit nearest to her and has been checking it out for a few days now, in a way that feels like she's pinching it every so often.

Ugh. I feel like my stomach is a magma acid bowling ball and I'm about to vomit it all up. Is this heartburn? Never had it with my other pregnancies.
