So, I have it somewhat created. I picked a regular template and not a fancy one. I need to get MIL on it for a fancy one, but that may take time as she's finishing up her masters in the next few weeks. However, we can start working on it. I have the email and account through Gmail/Blogger.

Well, I think we need to work on content. So, CD 101 and troubleshooting should come first. So, we should make up a list or Cloth 101 articles. Things like:

• Types of CD's
• Basic washing
• Types of detergent
• Prefold folds
• Flat folds

Then trouble shooting articles like:

• Rashes
• Ammonia
• Barnyard
• The yeastie beastie
• Hard/Soft water

Once we get the basics done we can work on adding the rest. Even doing things like stash and storage posts, CD reviews, Recommended stores, ect. Lots of pictures!!

Also, I think I can cover the main types of CD's. I think I have all the different types minus contours.

Oh, and I'd love someone who has better writing skills than me to transpose the info. I can give you the info to the blog via PM.

Would you have the time to essentially edit and type things up on the blog? Or just edit and have me put it in?

I could do some editing too. Maybe we should divide things up, so it's not too much for one person?

Personally I would still want another pair of eyes to see whatever I edit/write before it gets posted, so I would want to send it back to you to post.

Ok. I'm cool with putting the info and pictures into the posts. Dealing with the layouts. As long as we have plenty of people to check my weird spelling and grammar mistakes.

Man, I should get you guys to help me with English 101 next year :P.

I think at one point we talked about doing a flow chart for solving stink issues.  I'm up for mocking up what it should say, (with review and input from anybody who wants to)  but I'd need some help making it pretty.  I'm terrible with graphics skills.  I can maybe handle squares and arrows in Word!

DH is a photographer, so if I can be of any help in the picture department, let me know.  Maybe a stash pic for the home page?

I'm also happy to edit anything, but it looks like you might have enough volunteers for that already.

I'd love to get this done in the next century, but it'll take time to get every post done. We do need the basics done and entered in the next few weeks though. That way it can go in our header and start telling people to go to it.

That would be good. Any nice pics would be nice. There will be many things that will be pic heavy as well. I have a pretty nice DSLR as well and I'll be doing the types of diapers (Since I have them all). Any help is appreciated.

Good point @mapleme.  I'm happy to help all I can before #2 gets here.  But I don't have a computer at home, so once I go on leave, I'm pretty worthless.

Okay.  How about I set up a general CD "still life" type shot that could be used as a main picture or as background on different pages, etc?  I could put different diapers, detergents and CD safe creams in it.

I could rename the blog. Pick a name! I'd like this to be group collaberation though and not just linking to every which place. Kind of takes away from making a blog. You know what I mean? We don't have to do ALL the folds in the other links and we can also post them in a links page for further reading. I'd like to create a one stop place to refer newbies and such.

@TJ1979 I think you can sign up for Google+ using any email address! it doesn't have to be a gmail account. Then you could edit and share docs using your existing address, if we decide to go that route.

Also, I like writing, so I don't mind helping to contribute to an article. I could probably do a decent starter laundry routine for HE FLs, if that helps.

I'd love to.  But I'll need some editing help & input from others since like we always tell people what works for one mom/baby at a certain time may not always work and won't work for every mom/baby. 

 

Also I agree with Nana that having some links is good, but we really should have some original pics and info to.  Honestly I have a few favorite sites, but there's no one or two sites that I think have all the info out there you could possible need.  I want our Blog to be that site!
