BFP 3/26, due 12/3 (I think!) - Still in shock

Hey ladies!

I'm so excited to be able to join the group!  Between graduate school (me) and life we've put off TTC until this year.  I'm really in shock as I just went of BC the beginning of February and we're already pregnant.  My family has a history of infertility (I'm the only blood related child between my mother & my aunt) and I was so nervous I was going to have problems too. 

So I called my doctor today and he is booked up (unless I want to take a day off from work) until 4/7.  Anyone else find that common/uncommon?  I know so many people who have used the practice that I go to but I'm a little nervous about availability!

They usually don't see you until about 8 weeks unless you've suffered a previous loss I think. My appt isn't until April 22

I haven't had to go back to my OB/GYN yet since I'm still under the care of my RE but I don't really see anything uncommon about that timeframe especially if you are requesting evening hours. At this point there's really no reason for you to see the OB anyway. I don't think I'll even have an apointment with my RE (other than bloodwork) before the 7th.

My appt isn't until 4/22 as well. Boo. Like others said there isn't anything to see really until 7 weeks. They will probably just do blood work if you go that early.
