I need more covers and am looking for something that one size. I'm also still obsessing over the Albert print, but don't want to commit to the flip system.

Will the flip cover work well with flats and prefolds, or will I have to deal with leaks?

I use Flip covers with prefolds. I love them! The only time I've ever had any leaks is if I don't change DD frequently enough (you know, get distracted and then realize how long it's been since the last change. Whoops!). And even then the leaks are very small, only a small spot on her pants and it is due to the prefold being as wet as it can get and has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the covers.

I had two Flips covers in boring colors and couldn't fall in love with them and sold them. I just recently got a Flip in Albert and it's my new favorite. Great fit, I only use it with prefolds, and once you get to the trifolding phase the flaps inside are nice. Moral of the story: Albert is adorable.

They work fine with prefolds or flats IME.  I don't like the fit as well as our Sweet Peas, Blueberry Coveralls, or Best Bottoms though.

I exclusively use prefolds and Flips are my favorite covers!  (I hated the Flip inserts though)

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that Albert is adorable. I will get an Albert, just need to decide which one. I bought a blueberry coverall last week and its already my favorite.

Flips are not my favorite.  We used the covers exclusively until recently.  We have never had leaks and they have plenty of room for a prefold.  My main issue is that almost all our Flip covers have issues with the leg elastic loosing their elasticity.  We do have 2 Alberts and I do love that print.  The print looks better in snaps than they do in hook/loop.

I agree about the snaps. It makes it look like a little tuxedo.

Another flip lover here. We use prefolds with cover, so no issues there. I will say that I do really like the organic cotton inserts. We have 3 that we use for overnight in a BGE new style. And that's a trim combo. I wish I could get more, but I have too many diapers to justify it.

Flips are one of my favorite covers right now, and have been for months.

The flip covers fit fine, but I can see the leg elastic going. Does anyone know how easy it is to replace on those suckers? I feel like a trifolded prefold and a hemp doubler fit bettter in my duo wraps better than the flips.

I had elastic go out on 4.0s after about a year of use.  Those are SUPER easy to replace.  Flips look a little more difficult because I think you have to open up the elastic casing a bit and then re-sew it (on PUL).  That makes me nervous, but only because I've never sewn PUL before.  It might be NBD.
