I think I'm ready... NB stash

Everything is prepped and Mister Kidlet is due any day now.

I bought...

12 GMD NB prefolds

12 GMD Small prefolds

3 covers

4 lil joey AIOs

Then I did the Jillian's Drawers NB trial so we could try some other styles before building the OS stash...

4 infant prefolds

1 cover

2 fitteds with cover

1 bum genius pocket

1 bum genius aio

Also have 4 snappis (DH loses things) and CD friendly diaper cream.  36 cloth wipes in varying fabrics and thickness, a few wetbags.  We're fine with using a few sposies during the NB stage if needed.  Anything big I'm missing?

I'm planning to wash as often as I have to and if that's too often tell DH I need more diapers?

I would get a few more covers, as newborn poop is very runny (after the meconium). It might take awhile for you to get the prefolds to fit right and that would make you go through covers quickly.

You can fold down the small prefolds to fit your newborn if needed. It will be bulkier.

Maybe some more wipes, especially for the NB phase. Or maybe I just go trough so many because DH uses 10 each change, whether they're cloth or disposable. But baby wash cloths work fine as wipes!

I feel like you're going to be doing laundry more than you will want to.  I'd add in a couple more covers, if price is an issue go with Imagine Baby covers or Assuntas.  Maybe throw in a couple fitteds or more nb prefolds.
