I was lurking over on September '14 because I wanted to see the HDBD posts (I can't wait until my belly looks cute instead of just pudgy.) Anyway, they had a post about bad baby names and I thought it would be fun to start a discussion here.
So, what are the worst real life baby names that you've heard or seen?
I've seen a Delacaissey (boy, pronounced Delicacy), Maysyn (boy). Have at it October '14 bumpies.

ETA: Please keep it to names that you've actually heard or seen. Let's not perpetuate the urban legends.
We are so excited to grow our family!

Re: Bad Baby Names.
The worst I've ever seen was a waitress at a local restaurant whose name tag read "Asalyah" and introduced herself as "Azalea"...so either a horrendous spelling error and her parents were going for the flower, or they were aiming for a totally youneek name.

In my job I hear some interesting names. I agree with PPs about Nevaeh. I don't know why but that name goes all over me. Some of the worst I've heard are: Da'money (girl), Zaddock (boy), Noxstalye (girl), Myrackle (miracle, girl), Lyfe (boy), we had to talk one woman out of naming her daughter chlamydia: she didn't know what it was, but it was so pretty. My sis went to school with a girl named T9C!
Lil'Curtis and his little sister Lil'Daphne... I lie to you not, those are their legit legal names. Of course their parents are Curtis and Daphne.

Well, since I am Brazilian will not talk about awful portuguese names. But I worked in a place where one of my co-workers had three kids (all girl) named: Milk (yes, milk!), Madeinusa (she saw "made in usa" written in a back of an old TV and joined all the words together) and the third kid as Minervina (like de godess Minerva, but here in Brazil this is also the name of a dish washer!)
Brazilian mommies seem to love to use english/american names, but not all registers (and the mommy herself) know how their spell properly so kids end up with named like Vasdisnei (Walt Disney), Mique Jaquison (Michael Jackson). Both names of local famous soccer players...
I agree that if I were referring to an urban legend and infering anything about race, that would be inappropriate and downright awful of me. However, I assure you this was an actual student name and the ethnicity was not even discussed by my sister or me. My sister has been grading assignments for various teachers at a middle school for nearly a decade and often shares ridiculous names and non-sensical statements made by the students. My favorite time of the school year? Persuasive essays, that shit is hilarious. On a personal note, I think urban legends, chain mail, etc are annoying and utterly pointless and would never aid in perpetuating them.

A woman came to the library where I used to work and signed up her 4 kids for library cards. They are all named after their dad Patrick. Might as well pull a George foreman and just give them all the same name.
DH's family has some kids named Jaylah (girl, and I have no idea if I'm spelling that right) and Jaylen (boy), and I think those are the worst I know of in real life. Some of the ones in this thread are atrocious!
BTW Cash Money is my chihuahua's name, lol! I got him in Vegas, hence the name. He only goes by Cash though.
Also, @theresat858, I really love the name Zephyr. I don't think I have the balls to actually name my kid that, though.

Some I think are not cool: Temperance, Chastity, etc.
But Joy, Hope, Faith...those are pretty and good for MNs.
Not kidding. I work in an ER.
When I was born, I was in the NICU for 10 days. My isolette was near the window, so anyone passing by could look in and see me and the other babies. My mom was looking through the window and another woman walking by stopped to look in. She asked which baby was my mom's, and my mom pointed to me. The woman exclaimed; "Isolette! What a beautiful name! Congratulations." And she kept on walking.
My mom was completely confused...then she saw that there was a sticker that said "isolette" with some temperature regulating instructions on the side. She likes to tell the story waaaay too often of the woman who thought my name was "Isolette."
