Sadly no. IF robbed me of that phase. I was EXTREMELY paranoid and superstitious. Friends would try to give me baby item hand me downs and I would accept the offer but would have them keep the stuff until after delivery. In fact- if you had walked in my house during my second or early third trimester there was zero sign a baby was even on the way. One day- I decided to stock up on diapers but when I finally bought them I broke down crying and hid them out of sight.

And then, because my son came 5 weeks early- he came before my baby shower. So when he was born we had NOTHING.

My dad bought us a co sleeper and my mom painted the room while I was in the hospital. People brought us necessary gifts to the hospital and I had my baby shower 2 weeks post partum.

I learned that really you don't need a lot for a new baby lol. But I also hit my nesting phase belated and while recovering from a c-section.

But I've heard funny stories about the nesting phase.

4DPO, I did the nesting thing early, around 5m pregnant, I wanted to get it all out of the way, then at the end I was so mad, because I had NOTHING TO DO but wallow in my fat sweaty state. It was annoying and  boring.

No I cant say there was nesting.  I don't remember it was soooo long ago.  But I do remember running lots of errands to get stuff done before his arrival.

No, I didn't do the nesting thing.  At 32 weeks, I was taken out of work and put on modified bed rest, so I was scared to get up and do much of anything.

Cycle status: waiting for RE to call and tell me that i'm not KU,so I can stop the progesterone and wait for AF.

As far as nesting goes, I ended up in a similar situation as @KC1212 in that I was terrified to buy things early and went into early labor at 30 weeks and so I was on bed rest the entire that we were setting up G's room and for my baby shower. So I didn't get to much of anything except direct, yes I was super annoying...

QOTW: I love to nest (pregnant or not). With my first pregnancy I put all of me energy into the nursery. We were in a tiny house at the time so it was about all that I could do. With pregnancy #2, I had H painting and changing out fixtures in our bathrooms and making DD#1's bedroom into a girly room. Now through my 2IF grief, I am organizing my entire house and driving H crazy!

1dp FET. when I was pregnant MH said they would ask him at work if I was nesting. He didn't know what nesting was, so when they explained he said he couldn't tell any difference. Lol. I do like a clean house!!

Currently waiting for Friday to start stims and u/s / bloodwork.
Nesting. I didn't really get there until AFTER baby shower when mother I law got cribs and shit FOR HER HOUSE - and then I panicked bc I felt like she was ready to take my baby. Hubs had already painted and set up nursery w crib but all if a sudden at almost 7 months I was like- DIAPERS!!, PILLOWS!!!, WASH ALL THE ONSIES!!! It was crazy. I felt like we had nothing ready. I stayed home from church jay a mess crying doing laundry and hubs went (bc he is in the orchestra) and came home turns out he left after he did his part and went to stores and got nursing pillows, diapers, mattress for crib and Winnie the Pooh sheets. Lol then I felt sane. And then dd came and hasn't slept a night in the crib in her life. Good times.

CD 1dpo but it doesn't matter, i'm benched indefinitely with this shitty tube until we can do IVF.  appt with new RE 5/20. god i hope i can get in earlier.

(i have nothing exciting to share, and prob won't for a while) but i wanted to cheer you guys on, especially those in the 2WW.

as far as nesting, after losing my first baby i wasn't comfortable doing anything to plan for baby #2 until i was holding him in my arms. that fear that everything would be taken away again crippled any urge to nest. i wouldn't let my mom do the baby shower until i was nearly 36wks. every morning upon waking i got out the doppler to check his hb. it was only then i could go about my day feeling confident he was ok. that being said, at 39wks i decided it was ok to wash onesies. with my last 2 losses i never let myself buy anything for them, just in case. and i'm glad i didn't.

@Jodee37‌ if we are ever blessed again I plan to invest in a Doppler. Otherwise- I fear I will go crazy with fear.

CD 1 of another break cycle. Ouch.

I nested with DS, but it was in phases. Like one night DH would come home and I would have all of the cupboards emptied and scrubbed down and a week later he'd come home and I'd be on my knees scrubbing the bathroom floor. I tended to pick bigger projects and then tire out half way through so DH had to finish them, haha. So it wasn't the good kind of nesting.

Yes I did. Bad. I had tons of complications though, which was torture since I couldn't walk! My husband was a trooper though and helped me get everything that I wanted to get done before the baby arrived.

I'm 6dpo but o'd late after a long period.

QOTW: I'm not sure I nested. I am super OCD so I was constantly cleaning and organizing when I wasn't on bed rest but I do that anyway.

@KC1212 - i can't tell you enough how valuable the doppler was, to me, my sanity, everything. it was the best $70 i ever spent. seriously. i highly rec it WHEN you get pg again ;-)

Cycle update: None. Finally got back to the Urologist and clomid had very little effect so now after waiting 5 months for nothing...we wait for him to have vericocele surgery again.

QOTW: I spent the entire pregnancy getting things ready. Stocked up on diapers, washed everything, set up her room (which she never used as we co-slept and then moved at 3 months). I did have a "nesting phase" the week before she was born, I would be up super late just fretting about everything. Which is why I was awake when my water broke at about 2 am.

CD; I have no idea.

QOTW: We didn't nest at all with DD until a week before the due date. And then DW kind of went a little bit mental because we literally were as far from ready for DD as was physically possible. We had absolutely nothing. So she sent both of our families out on missions to find stuff she thought we needed (most of which we didn't) whilst I was made to paint the entire flat and find someone to lay the carpet she'd bought for DDs room at a day's notice and she and DSD made up all of the furniture for DDs room as it arrived. As it is, DD didn't even use her room once until she was 3 months old.

This time, we're sorting everything out well before the due date.

QOTW: I did a lot of nesting with DD#1, I went kind of overboard. XH and I had everything we thought we could possibly need by the time I was four months pregnant and then Tilde arrived and we realised we hadn't bought any nappies. And then I realised I was a lesbian.

With DD#2 we did no nesting whatsoever other than to buy the essentials, and even then it was with only 2 weeks to go. I guess it will be the same this time around.

17DPO, not pregnant, but no period either. Waiting on that to show up so I can schedule my lap surgery to fix endometriosis and curly cue tube.

I did nest eventually with my first pregnancy but I had a really really bad lung infection for about 3 1/2months in the middle of my pregnancy that they wouldn't treat until I got to my third trimester, so mostly I sat around and tried not to asphyxiate. When we finally got around to it though we made her room really nice and DH and I even painted some art for her room. It turned out really well

No update, trying to figure out how to hopefully have IVF/ICSI #4 with EPP protocol this summer.

QOTW: I was too exhausted to nest.  I think I had one or two bursts of energy but our twins came early and I was not ready at all!
