  • Right now, it's specifically about CD friendly diaper rash creams.

Though I've found most all of them helpful at some point or another. :)

  • DH wants to find a cream with zinc oxide that is CD friendly.  Little miss has a nasty rash, and we're following the pedi's instructions to get rid of it (which means using 'sposies)... but I think he would like to have a stronger cream than CJ's for daily preventative use, once the rash is gone.

I don't think a CD friendly cream with zinc oxide exists (but he does), so I wanted to look at the list of recommendations I saw on the FAQ page, and see what I could find.

California baby has zinc oxide but some babies have bad reactions to it. DS did. He screamed bloody murder when I put it on his wetness sensitivity rash. Weleda has some zinc oxide in it but I see mixed info as to whether it is CD safe. Grandma El's is a good cd-safe cream and provides more of a wetness barrier, if that is what you are concerned about. Waxelene and Grovia Magic Stick both have beeswax in them, which also helps protect the skin.

Or adding gse to coconut oil does wonders for nasty rashes. And it won't sting like zinc oxide.
@chickypoo2468 How do you do this? Put the GSE on your fingers with the coconut oil and rub it together? Or drop it into the jar?

I do this, I use a spray bottle, but I dilute about 3 drops each of TTO and GSE into one of those little travel size spray bottles. I think a full drop would be too much to use at each change.

With water or coconut oil @Into+the+Kitty‌?

I do between 50/50 to 75/25 coconut oil to water for my spray, and I melt it in a little hot water bath before applying it. I just found it melted and sprayed better with the water mixture, and A went through a major stage of huge tantrums if I tried to put a cream onher bottom so I needed a spray. I also had texture issues with applying the oil with my fingertips, but I think that would work equally well to keep in a little jar.

  • Anything I can do to help with the FAQ? I have zero web design skills, but I figure with the time I spend bumping I could at least review and organize some content.
