How long did they keep you in the hospital?

Just curious when we will get to come home. I know it varies a ton but just trying to get a general idea. If it helps, I'm being induced in 2 days, at 38 weeks and both babies are head down. Thanks!

Congrats! That sounds like an ideal situation.
With my twins I was there for 4 days, because I'd had a CS. With my first it was only 2 days (vaginal birth). I think after a vaginal birth legally you have to stay at least 4 hours, but after that there might be in some flexibility in it if you don't want to be there long. Of course, I say... stay as long as you can! It's so nice to have the nurses helping, and to have all your meals brought to you!

With my DD (vaginal birth) it was 2 nights (sort of) and they offered a 3rd. I delivered at 9:16 pm. Wasn't moved to mother baby unit from L&D until like 1 or 2 am. Then the next full day and night and discharged midday the next day. Because I didn't get to mother baby until really late they offered one more night, I opted not to. My friend who is an OB at our hospital said 3 is common for vaginal twin moms, but if all looks good and you want to, they'll let you leave after 2. For my c/s my doc told me 3-4 nights.

Can't believe only 2 more days...so exciting! I've been thinking about you.

4 days after my Csection.  But - I was in there for 4 days BEFORE the Csection because my induction failed.  I went in for an induction at 38 weeks - both babies were head down but my cervix was still closed up tight.  They tried to induce for 4 days before we gave up.  I was having contractions but the cervix just wasn't opening.  When it finally did start, they broke my water and I started having labor contractions but the cervix just wasn't progressing fast enough and it was stressing the babies.  Baby A's heartrate kept dipping and since I was progressing so slow we opted for the section to be on the safe side. So all together, I was there for about 8 days.

I had a c/s on a Sunday around 5pm and I was discharged the Wednesday afternoon. I stayed in the hospital till Friday (I could have stayed as long as I wanted and as long as they didn't need the room because my girls were in the SCN)

I delivered both vaginally and stayed 2 nights.  They let us stay in the room until 7:00pm the last day since our twins were upstairs in the NICU.

I was induced at 38 weeks too.  Both babies were head down but I had developed a fever so we had a c-section 18 hours later.  We stayed for 5 days after that.  I had high blood pressure following their birth though so I was closely monitored.  I loved my hospital stay though, it was like a hotel!  Got to have my babies during the day and sleep at night and they had great food there.

Good luck, how exciting!!!  Hope everything goes smoothly!

I had a C/S and was officially discharged after 4 days, but the boys were in the NICU for 2 days longer because of weight issues and the hospital let me board there until they were discharged...it was actually a pretty nice arrangement (though I was aching to get home at the time).
