Drinking

We are ttc.  We had a miscarriage a year ago.  I've been trying to stay away from alcohol which I have been doing really good, however this weekend we are going out with friends whom know I usually drink when we go out.  Is there anything I could order that wouldn't make them think that something is going on.

    Just tell them you are not drinking because you are driving. Or just have one. If you havnt gotten a positive then it's ok to have a drink if you want.

    Then either milk one drink all night or get a non alcoholic drink with a twist so it looks like it has booze in it

    It has a very small amount.

    But if you get cranberry with seltzer or ginger with a twist of lime it will look good and taste better than an odouls

    I would say that I'm on medication if they asked about it. Or that my stomach is upset and I want a Sprite. :-)

    I definitely respect your not wanting to drink while TTC, if that's what feels comfortable to you, but for me, as I settle into the TTC long-haul, doing things more or less as I ordinarily would seems to help me feel less like my life is on hold and like every month I'm unsuccessful is a tragedy.

    Went well...I ended there earlier than anyone else and spoke to the bartender so he had a sprite and cranberry ready for me all night.
