S/O Stopping Progesterone- Poll

My RE gave me instructions to stop progesterone at 9 weeks, but that seems kind of early compared to others and I have enough to continue til 10+ weeks. However I'd like to stop as soon as it's safe because I think that they're making my symptoms worse. I'm curious, when did your RE tell you to stop supplementing? Thanks!

    Fwiw, I think I remember my RE saying something about them being more important for IVF cycles because the corpus luteum doesn't form well as a result of the eggs being retrieved so progesterone isn't produced naturally as well. I voted 12 weeks, but that may have been because my cycle started out as IVF. Now I'm wondering if it'll be less, which I wouldn't mind! 

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    I am on prometrium until the end of my 13th week. My doctor is more conservative and cautious than most.

    Met with RE October 2013, we've got a plan!
    Surprise BFP on "break cycle" 10/12/13. EDD 6/17/14.

    Our RE says I am on both PIO and estrace to 12 weeks, but I must say that I'm getting quite tired of them both now....   I think this week I'm going to ask to make the switch to progesterone suppositories and see if she may be willing to taper it down after the next appt (~11 weeks) and test my blood levels...I'd like to know that the placenta is taking over before we quit cold turkey at 12 weeks.

    Partner IVF#1a- December 2013 - H's eggs, my Ute - CANCELLED due to low response
    Partner IVF #1b - February 2014 - H's eggs, my Ute - ER February 4 (10 retrieved, 3 fertilized), Transfer Feb 7 of one Grade 1 and one Grade 2 day 3 embryos.  1 - Day 3, Grade 1 frosty saved.   BFP - 6dp3dt via FRER, Beta #1 - 110, Beta #2 175, Beta #3 - 348, Beta #4 - 2222!, Beta #5 - 4255.  Ultrasound (6w1d) - 2 heartbearts!  

    We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014.  Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies.  We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.

    My RE told our GC last week (at week 6!) that she could stop Pio and switch to 3x a day prometrium. I was nervous, but they had taken her P4 level and it was sky high so they were fine doing that.
    It is scary!!! She has been off of Pio since last Thursday and no issues so far.

    Thanks so much everyone for responding!  I'm feeling a bit better about the 9-10 week range now.
