Stopping progesterone at 10 weeks

Thursday will be 10 weeks. The RE told me to stop taking the progesterone (endometrium) at 10 weeks. My IF brain is nervous of what will happen once I'm off. I've been pretty good at not worrying over every little thing. But I'm really nervous.

Has anyone done this before? Can you give me some tips on any changes I can expect so I'm not thinking it's always for the worse? Thanks in advance!

I stopped PIO cold turkey at 10 weeks and was nervous too but it was fine! I dont recall any side effects from stopping it either.

I was super nervous stopping pio w/ my DD (she was an FET) so my RE wrote up a "taper" schedule for me starting at 10w and I basically weened off over the course of a week or two. If you're that worried, maybe that a possibility? Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine!

I stopped progesterone (endo) at 9 weeks. It's a horrible mental hurdle, but you have to trust. Just a heads up, my doc warned me that I could have some spotting 2-5 days after stopping. She didn't want me to freak. I didn't end up spotting but I was thankful for the heads up!

I'm about a week away from when my RE told me to stop so I'm already stressing about when I'll actually stop.  It's scary!  Good luck.

I was told to stop at 10 weeks but I took it for a couple days after because I was terrified! Have heard baby's hb twice since then so all is good! It's hard but you just have to trust your RE. He/She hasn't steered you wrong yet, right?

While I have about a week left and will be so nervous.....I can't wait to stop the endometrium - yuck!!! Good luck

My RE had me go until 12 weeks but started tapering at 11 weeks. I know its scary but your RE got you this far. I just went with it and so far so good. Good luck!

Thank you so much! That helps. Especially the tip about spotting. I'm a worry wart in general so I've been trying to not read anything negative. I don't want to stress baby too much. I am thrilled to stop, I hate the damn pills. I appreciate all the help.

I stopped my PIO at 10w, also, and didn't wean or anything.  I was worried, too, but I realized that these REs do this everyday, so I need to just trust what they tell me to do.  I don't recall any changes or spotting or anything noticeable when I stopped.

I stopped cold turkey and was very nervous but everything was fine. I also stopped at 10 weeks.

I stopped at 10 weeks and my only side effect was that my skin broke out horribly.

This is my last week I can't wait to stop! The pio needles are so large and uncomfortable and leave me in pain most of the time. It will be an exciting day to take my last one.
