So what's the deal with this movie? Everyone talks about it and the song Let It Go. Someone explain besides "Its just really good." Never seen it or heard the song.

Me either. I think it has to do woth it is one of the first disney movies to make fun of its self amd the song is supposed to be really powerful and empowering

I thought i heard something about gay too. Like someone is raised by two moms or something? I haven't paid much attention but everyone is talking about it. Might have to RedBox it.

Ive heard there is speculation there is a gay in keeper. But, shh dont tell any one. We wouldnt possibley want to offend them *rolls eyes*

It was an ok movie.  Brave and How to Train Your Dragon were better.  And, of course, Despicable Me 1 & 2.  But that's just my opinion.  Frozen wasn't as good or funny as the commercials led you to believe.  If there was a gay anyone in the movie it totally went over my head.

I like this movie because i is the first Disney movie in a while to give me the feels like those from when I was a child. (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast). The story AND the songs were good, not just Let it Go, but all of them are fun. 

Plus like Brave is is more empowering. It is about being yourself and shows that the truest love comes from friendship and family. I think a lot of people have been latching on to it for these reasons. IMO it is not about being "gay" it is about being yourself even if it is hard, which a lot of gay people relate to, but it really is a broad message.

Lastly I just love a good soundtrack!

I love it. My daughter loves it and can sing the entire soundtrack.

I didn't see anything about being gay in the movie at all. That whole thing was stirred up by a blogger who read way too much into things and it started a huge controversy. Some people think there's a bestiality aspect to it because one of the characters has a pet reindeer that is his best friend/companion and he typically shuns people but I think that's a stretch.

Anyway, the movie is based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson if you're familiar with it. One of the things I loved about the movie is that the princess doesn't really get saved by the prince. It's a whole different kind of love that saves her. And like @tig594 said, it's not at all as funny as the commercials will lead you to believe, though there are some funny parts. I love Olaf!

I'll be the voice of dissent here and say that...I didn't really like Brave. ::ducks:: I really wanted to, and I loved the strength Merida had but overall I thought it was pretty poorly executed. DD loves it though.
