Vaginal pains

So when I walk or stand a lot, I get pains in my cervix area that feel like my little girl is trying to scratch or pinch my cervix. Is this what people were talking about on here when they refer to lightning crotch? It just started about 2 weeks ago and I am 32 weeks now. I am curious if it gets worse before delivery (since baby is getting bigger).

I don't think that's lightning crotch. Lightning crotch is like a quick, sharp, shooting pain up the vagina where a tampon would usually be.

Maybe the motion is just irritating your cervix? I'm not sure.

hmm... has anyone experienced what I am talking about? I am hoping it does not get worse as time goes because I want to be able to do what I can around the house since my dh is working full time and I am not working. I noticed it happens more when i'm shopping (walking more). I will ask my doctor on Wednesday at my next appointment.

I have the lightning crotch thing with pressure in my cervix. No scratching. Maybe the pinch is similar, but I wouldn't describe my sharp, shooting pain as a pinch. Hang In there. I can't imagine mine getting worse.

I did with DD and I'm starting to get it with this one too. I feel like I dropped a lot this weekend so I think its just someone wants there way out. I walked the mall this weekend and it was so incredibly painful I won't be doing that again.

I hope it doesn't affect me doing stuff around the house, grocery shopping, etc. I want to be able to help out dh since he is working full time and I'm not working.

Do you usually wear a belly support band? It might help relieve some of the added pressure on your lady bits when you're on your feet.

It's probably not your cervix. It's probably the baby bumping an arm or foot against your pubic bone.

I've had something feel like a prolonged pinch along my cervix. My midwife said it could be part baby pushing down/stretching and part body doing its thing.

With DD I took my time doing stuff and it was easier but at work I sat a lot. With this one, I've already declared I cannot grocery shop alone or do anything strenuous (tonight vacuuming my tiny house was enough) and I'm not sure how work will be since I'm on Spring Break. I feel your "pain" though. Not pleasant when it feels like LO might just fall out at any second.

Getting a belt helped a lot for me. Walking is very hard at this point as well I'm 34wks tmr. RLP literally woke me up with a yelp when I tried to turn over last night and now I'm limping its so sore! Sry but I can't imagine it getting easier from here on out, the body is just opening everything up for the big day.
