I fart when I am nervous. (TMI-ish)

Went for my check up today, and as I had experienced some spotting Friday, the Dr. wanted to give me an exam. As soon as the nurse came in to get me a lovely sheet to drape over my nether regions, and left, I told DH I felt gassy. He just laughed and was like "Better get it out now." Not like I can do that on command. Then I stepped behind the curtain to change and every time I bent over slightly to maneuver and remove my pants, I let out a tiny bit of gas. I could hear DH cracking up, then I started laughing and each laugh pushed out more gas. Needless to say, totally crop-dusted the room before the Doc and nurse returned and I was beet red from laughing. H thought it was so hilarious he called MIL in the parking lot after and told her. LOL. I guess from this experience I have learned... I fart when I am nervous.

Haha so glad your husband could laugh it off with you! My DH always comments on my morning "foghorn". I feel less ashamed knowing he will laugh with me!

And they say pregnancy is beautiful   My DH can laugh about it too but I might be compelled to punch him in the face if he actually told his mother about it.

Ordinarily, I'd agree. I was OK with it though, because I know how MIL mother loves a good fart joke. She's a no BS kind of old lady. Though it makes for some very awkward family gatherings, she seriously has no filter once she gets even a glass of wine in her.

I've always tried to be a "lady" in front of DH, but that's gone out the window recently. His opinion of me changed forever when I told him about my butt nut.

I too try to do my best keeping those functions to myself, but honestly, regardless how hard you try, they sneek up on you!

My 4 yr old DD and I were at the kitchen table sitting on the bench (we have a bench on one side and 2 chairs on the other). I was roughly 32 weeks pregnant at the time and getting myself easily out of the bench seat takes a little fanagling. As I began to make the move off the bench my DH comes into the dinings room checking up on us, I gracefully swung one leg over the bench, letting out one of the loudest farts that seemed to echo off the walls and the hard wood bench did not help keep the noise decidels down. Red faced and extremely embarrassed, my daughter and DH laughed hysterically at me for a good long minute!! It was absolutely hilarious once the embarrassment wore off!

Fortunately, my DH finds it funny when I do becasue it is always happens in the most suspenseful of moments and leaves us with great memories, LOL!!

I fart when I pee, when I sit, when I stand, in the shower, and once in a while I fear it will happen the few times we fool around, lol.  Pregnancy strips all the sexiness away ;-)
