I've found an awesome side effect of non hormonal birth control (ParaGuard). TMI, but my sex drive has been insane. It's like I'm a teenager again. Finally after YEARS of barely wanting to have sex, I'm back at it. :D

    I've been thinking about switching from my mirena... This may have been what finally sells me on it.

    The only thing I can see people not liking is the heavy flow. Mine has always been heavy but from what I understand it's quite a difference from Mirena.

    When I went off birth control after over a decade, I was INSATIABLE. I remember thinking (not really. But really), that my H wasn't going to be able to handle my needs. Lol

    Not to be a buzzkill but paraguard has been awful for me. For the past 2 years I have a super heavy flow, horrendous cramps the week before, the week of and the week after. I spot the week before and the week after. I feel like a normal functioning human for about 1 week a month.


    But hey, everyone's different, right?
