As someone who wrote the anti-bully policy for my school when I was teaching, this article is awesome!  The number of parents who called after we sent the new policy home claiming that their beloved child had been bullied...still astounds me!  I worked with students who all had social disorders, so an almost total lack of filters.  What was rudeness was being construed as bullying and it drove all of us teachers nuts.  Wish I had this then!

Great article! I agree wholeheartedly with her sentiment that the overuse of the term "bullying" could lead to becoming desensitized to it, which I have seen personally already. I hope more parents will learn to differentiate the way she has broken it down here. Thanks for sharing!
