Mastitis question

For those who have had it - I'm sorry because good gracious it hurts!  How long did it take for the soreness to go away for you?  Started feeling much better within 24 hrs of the antiobiotics, but the soreness is lingering.

I'm recovering from my 7th bout of mastitis. My soreness and redness are usually gone within a couple of days of starting antibiotics. This time, it's taking me a long time to get my energy back, though. I've been on antibiotics since Thursday. I'm hoping that my low energy level isn't a sign that the infection is lingering.... Hope you feel better soon!

The pain lessened around 24-36 hours after I started antibiotics each time. I EP, so I tried to pump every 2-3 hours during the day (versus my regular 4-5 hours - at this stage). The tenderness lingered for probably a week, but it didn't make me want to jump off of a bridge like those first few days. Hang in there!
