Anyone asked doc re: switching back/forth w/ formula brands?

We have been using similac for baby and just got 2 cans of enfamil from a friend (she received direct from enfamil in the mail),  Is it okay to use the Enfamil then go back to Similac?  Could switching back and forth cause any probs?

My pediatrician said it was fine as long as you aren't using a special one and then going back to a normal one.  For instance don't use soy in one brand and then regular in another.  We go back and forth between just the regular enfamil and the regular similac and my babies do just fine.
