I'm currently 34 weeks along and I want to know some more things about breastfeeding, Like what is a breast pad to buy and creams, bottles, ect.. Can anyone help me out?
I never had a brand preference on pads but I bought a combo of disposable and washable ones. I found the disposable ones to be good for when you're going to be away from home for a bit and just throw away bring extras. I never used any creams. I have always preferred good ole Vasoline but not a generic brand. Avent are good bottles and pacifiers for breastfeed babies! I'm due May 9th and live in Mason and a 4th time Mom. Good luck and hope this helps!
I use the Lansinoh brand of Lanolin for a nipple cream. I prefer the washable breast pads. Bottles you may just have to try different ones till you find what your baby likes. If you feel you need more support, get involved with the local le leche league meetings.

I got some pads at Walmart and they actually are my favorite (conforms and doesn't get all balled up in the wash). Lanolin is a must especially when starting since they are learning and can attach wrong. Avent is a great system, especially since you can use them as sippy cups later on (removable handles and spouts). We also use the same bottles for storing solids in the freezer. They have caps that go in the lid that you can write dates on. Medela has a click for the day of the week storage system I used too for pumping (really good when I went back to work).
Go to Blue Cocoon they are a local breastfeeding store and helped me get everything I needed and talked with me about my fears and concerns with breastfeeding.

Yeah, and they'll also tell you that your baby has a tongue and/or lip tie and refer you out to a specialist to have it corrected. I swear, there must be some kind of kickback going on there, because I had my daughter evaluated by the pedi and a pediatric dentist and she's just fine. We're coming up on a year of a successful breastfeeding relationship.
Love their products, especially the motherlove cream, but totally side-eye them for the fact that I don't know anyone who has left one of their LC sessions without a tie "diagnosis."
