It just rubbed me the wrong way. 

1)Why vaccinate your kid if you feel this way?

2)Just because you have a variety of health issues, doesn't mean all medial intervention is bad. In fact, none of what you have had has harmed you, except for you accidentally having a kid.

3)Your dh is in the  medical field.

4)Have you ever had shingles? I have, yeah I highly recommend the vaccine.

Ugh. The anti vax crap pisses me off. Look at how many people are coming down with measels, mumps, pertussis, and even a few reported cases of polio. These things are preventable, and yet people still ignore it and more and more innocent people die or get seriously injured. It drives me nuts. More so since it's our job to get the vaccines to protect those who are too sick to get them.

I'm in favor of avoiding unnecessary medication. I'll let a cold or fever run its course (not when pregnant). But vaccinations are the ounce of prevention. The potential dangers are so much worse.

Exactly! It just makes me scratch my head an wonder sometimes. Like, even if vaccines had a small chance of causing autism I'd rather my kid get Autism and live, than get polio and die. This isn't the 1800's people.

I cannot even begin to understand the antivax crowd. Vaccines DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM!!!!! The one study that said they did was debunked as falsified and the "doctor" who published it lost his licence. Who the hell takes their medical advice from Jenny McCarthy? I swear to all that is holy if one of these people cause my kid to get sick with an entirely preventable life threatening illness because he isn't old enough to get the shot for it yet I will spend the rest of my life in prison. Bullsh!t was a great show.
