Time between betas?

I was curious what your distance between betas was?

I had my first beta on Friday (334 at 8dp6dt) and, although the initial orders said to repeat in 48 hours, the RE's office said I didn't need to go for #2 until Tuesday. Of course, when they first called I was just so shocked with the beta # I didn't even think to ask why they didn't want to test my levels again until four days later.  I've been trying to Google time between betas and it seems like most people have them a lot closer. 

Has anyone had any experience with this?

My beta info is in my sig... I can't remember exact distances, but I know for a fact that it was not within two days. Four days, maybe? I was worried, too, because 2 seems standard, but I just went with what my RE suggested and referred to this website a lot to help calm my fears. Good luck!

I believe it is typically done every 48 hours, but if you go 4 days later you can still figure out what your doubling time is using one of those calculators, like @mjc1116 linked.

My RE does them 3 days apart. Like PPs say, you can check the doubling on the web. GL!

**Lurking as I haven't made an intro yet (waiting for a positive second beta), but my RE makes me wait a week before beta #2.  Beta #1 was last Friday and I won't be going in for beta #2 until this Friday.  Good luck!!

I think I would have been furious if our RE had made us wait 4 days, much less a week, for our second beta. That said, I don't think it's necessarily bad practice, especially when you have a strong first beta like you did. As much as we want our bodies and our embryos to work on a schedule, they often don't. Waiting longer gives your RE a bigger picture of what's going on without having you worry along the way if things don't quite double or take longer than 48 hours. We "know" that normal doubling time is 48-72 hours, but I know that many of us start to worry if we're not doubled in the first 48.
Anyway, all this is to say, that I'm sorry that you have to wait, but I hope that tomorrow you get super good news.

I only had one beta at 12 dp5dt! So, unless they really did the first beta earlier that week and just said it was estrogen and progesterone screening I was a one and only. They are a huge clinic to with well known docs and results. I'm kind of glad because I feel the numbers are so stressful. But I did pee on sticks for a few weeks after when I didn't have symptoms:)

Just got my second beta back and it was 2,505 (doubling rate of about 33 hours). I'm feeling much better. This is my last beta. First US is next Tuesday so new things to obsess about :-)

you are lucky to have a n US coming so soon. I have to wait until week 7. Not even a beta till then.

My first one was on a Friday, then the second one was on the following Monday. My third one will be next Monday (a week apart from the 2nd one)

I believe my beta dates are in my sig, but typically it's 48 hours between the first two and sometimes a little longer for the third.
