So many of you ladies are recommending the Rock N Play; is the bassinet or the sleeper?

So being the particular type of dork I am, I've quantified these responses into a spreadsheet, which is now a shared Google Doc. I did leave out some of the consumables (Burt's Bees vs Butt Paste, etc) and cloth diapers since that's going to be an individual decision and I'm sure it will be much discussed later (though nobody said they'd toss them, for the record).

keep: rock n play( slept great in it until he was 6 mos ), white noise machine, video monitor, swing was great and a lifesaver too!

toss: diaper genie, changing table

add: i got a ergo to add for this one

Another thing I would toss would be My Brest Friend nursing pillow. Just get a Boppy.

My bff loved her My Breat Friend pillow. She said it worked far better for her than the Boppy because her tatas are small and high. She recommended the Boppy for more well-endowed ladies.

I hated the Boppy. It didn't stay put around my waist and would always slip out from under baby while I was nursing her. I loved My Brest Friend and found it to be one of the things that helped when I was struggling with BF in the beginning. It has a belt that secures it around your waist so there is no slipping. Plus, I like how it has a flat surface. I felt like it put baby in a better position. I am large breasted and found it to be so much more useful for nursing than the Boppy.
