Sorry, yet another Materniti21/insurance coverage ?

Hello, Just hoping to get some more info. I have an appointment with the genetic counselor this week. I'm getting the NT scan done and was told I could get the Materniti21 test the same day. We have bcbs HMO blue and I just called and found out that the m21 test isn't covered at all. I would've thought they'd at least cover something. Anyone else have experience with them? I've read that Materniti21 will only charge you $200 if insurance won't cover it but I can't seem to find a number to call. Ggrrrr. Frustrated. Thanks!

The $200 is correct.  You have to call them after you get an EOB from insurance or bill from the lab and they will adjust it to the $200.  The lab is called Sequenom & their phone number is 877-821-7266.

Thanks so much! I had actually just found their ph # so I gave them a call. I just wasn't sure if I had to set something up before I actually had the test. Thanks again!

yup 200, my insurance company only paid 1,000, I got a bill for little over 1,00 more in the mail.  I told the lab that my Dr said it would not cost more than 200.  The lab was great they said yup we will discount it for you and that was it.
